"Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis \r\npeserta didik di kelas XI Peminatan Ekonomi SMA Negeri 1 Cibingbin berdasarkan \r\nhasil tes pra-penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk \r\nmengetahui pengaruh penerapan model cooperative learning teknik Student Team \r\nAchievement Division (STAD) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik \r\ndalam mata pelajaran ekonomi, khususnya pada materi Teori Permintaan dan \r\nPenawaran Uang, Indeks Harga, dan Inflasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan \r\nadalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group \r\ndesign. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes uraian. Pengujian hipotesis \r\ndilakukan dengan uji parametrik yaitu uji paired sample test dan independent \r\nsample test dengan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat \r\nperbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas eksperimen \r\nantara sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan model cooperative learning teknik \r\nSTAD. Terdapat pula perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta \r\ndidik antara kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan model cooperative \r\nlearning teknik STAD dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah \r\nbervariasi, yakni kelas eksperimen memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang lebih \r\ntinggi dibanding kelas kontrol. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model \r\ncooperative learning teknik STAD memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan \r\nberpikir kritis peserta didik.\r\n\r\nThis research was motivated by the low critical thinking ability of students \r\nin class XI of the Economics Specialization of SMA Negeri 1 Cibingbin based on \r\nthe results of the pre-research test that had been carried out. This study aims to \r\ndetermine the effect of the application of the cooperative learning model with \r\ntechnique of Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) on students' critical \r\nthinking skills in economics subjects, especially in Chapter 5: Money Supply and \r\nDemand Theory, Price Index, and Inflation. The research method used is a quasi\r\nexperimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research \r\ninstrument used is in the form of a description test. Hypothesis testing was carried \r\nout by parametric tests, namely paired sample test and independent sample test with \r\nSPSS 26. The results showed that there was a difference in the improvement of \r\ncritical thinking skills of experimental class students between before and after being \r\ngiven the treatment of the cooperative learning model of the STAD technique. There \r\nwas also a difference in the improvement of students' critical thinking skills between \r\nthe experimental class that was given the treatment of the cooperative learning \r\nmodel of the STAD technique and the control class that used a varied lecture \r\nmethod, namely the experimental class had higher critical thinking skills than the \r\ncontrol class.
