Saat ini eksistensi kudapan gemblong cukup rendah, dengan itu perlu ada dorongan untuk meningkatkan minat beli konsumen, dengan cara mendesain kemasan yang memiliki fungsi yang baik serta memiliki daya tarik visual sehingga calon konsumen dapat memengaruhi keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji desain kemasan gemblong modern yang memiliki standar agar dapat diterima oleh masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed methods yang menggabungkan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif sehingga menghasilkan analisis yang lebih komprehensif dan mendalam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengisisan kuesioner dan analisis tiga konsep kemasan gemblong modern oleh 30 panelis ahli, kemudian konsep kemasan yang memiliki nilai unggul akan dinilai kepada 100 panelis konsumen. Hasil penelitian dengan uji fungsi dan uji preferensi menunjukkan dari tiga konsep kemasan gemblong yang dibuat, konsep kemasan I memiliki nilai unggul dari aspek fungsional dan daya tarik visual, kemudian dilakukan pengujian daya terima konsumen terhadap konsep kemasan gemblong modern III dengan membandingkan kemasan konvensional. Hasil menunjukan nilai yang terpaut jauh dari aspek fungsional dan daya tarik visual.    Traditional food is an important part of the cultural wealth of a region that currently needs to be preserved, because globalization has brought major changes in various aspects of life, including in the culinary field. Gemblong is one of the traditional snacks made from white or black glutinous rice flour which is fried and then wrapped in liquid brown sugar or white sugar. Currently, the existence of gemblong snacks is quite low, with that there needs to be a push to increase consumer buying interest, by designing packaging that has good function and has visual appeal so that potential consumers can influence purchasing decisions. This study aims to examine modern gemblong packaging design that has standards that can be accepted by the public. The method used in this research is mixed methods which combines quantitative and qualitative methods to produce a more comprehensive and in-depth analysis. Data collection was carried out by filling out questionnaires and analyzing three modern gemblong packaging concepts by 30 expert panelists, then packaging concepts that have superior value will be assessed to 100 consumer panelists. The results of the research with the function test and preference test showed that of the three gemblong packaging concepts made, packaging concept I had superior value from the functional aspects and visual appeal, then testing consumer acceptance of modern gemblong packaging concept III by comparing conventional packaging. The results show a value that is far adrift from the functional aspects and visual appeal.
