Banyaknya program pertukaran pelajar yang didukung oleh beasiswa membuat minat mahasiswa meningkat mengikutinya termasuk program GKS for Foreign Exchange Students. Mahasiswa dengan program studi pendidikan bahasa Korea ikut serta pada program pertukaran pelajar tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kemandirian belajar ketika melakukan perencanaan studi di luar negeri, kemandirian belajar ketika pelaksanaan studi di luar negeri, dan kemandirian belajar ketika melakukan evaluasi studi di luar negeri mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Korea penerima beasiswa GKS for Foreign Exchange Students tahun 2023-2024. Subjek yang diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Korea penerima beasiswa GKS for Foreign Exchange Students tahun 2023-2024. Metode yang digunakan yaitu, metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan mengadaptasi teori kemandirian belajar oleh Zimmerman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mahasiswa yang melakukan studi di luar negeri dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar melalui peningkatan self-efficacy, perencanaan pembelajaran, penetapan tujuan, dan pengaturan strategi. Mahasiswa juga dapat mengoptimalkan usaha untuk mencapai tujuan, menjaga motivasi, dan mengendalikan emosi di lingkungan baru. Selain itu, mahasiswa mampu mengevaluasi proses dan hasil pembelajaran serta mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dihadapi selama studi di luar negeri. Self-regulated learning is the activity of planning and monitoring learning independently. The many student exchange programs supported by scholarships have increased student interest in participating, including the GKS program for Foreign Exchange Students. Students with Korean language education study programs participate in the student exchange program. This research aims to explore the process of self-regulated learning when planning to study abroad, self-regulated learning when carrying out studies abroad, and self-regulated learning when evaluating study abroad for Korean Language Education study program students who receive the GKS scholarship for Foreign Exchange Students in 2023-2024. The subjects studied in this research were Korean Language Education study program students who received the GKS scholarship for Foreign Exchange Students in 2023-2024. The method used is a qualitative method with semi-structured interview techniques adapting Zimmerman's independent learning theory. The results of the research show that students who study abroad can increase self-regulated learning through increasing self-efficacy, learning planning, goal setting, and strategy setting. Students can also optimize efforts to achieve goals, maintain motivation, and control emotions in a new environment.
