"Dalam abad 21 ini peserta didik dituntut untuk memiliki keterampilan abad 21. Salah satu keterampilan abad 21 yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis. Kemampuan berpikir kritis di Indonesia dalam studi PISA tahun 2022 masih rendah. Oleh karena itu pembelajaran perlu mendorong peserta didik untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritisnya. Pembelajaran di kelas tidak terlepas dari penggunaan sumber pembelajaran. Sumber pembelajaran yang paling umum digunakan adalah buku teks. Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah representasi unsur berpikir kritis di dalam buku teks sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penelitian analisis isi atau analisis konten kualitatif dan intrumen penelitian dengan indikator yang diadaptasi dari unsur berpikir kritis menurut Ennis. Indikator berpikir kritis tersebut terdiri atas Klarifikasi Dasar, Memberikan Alasan untuk Suatu Keputusan, Menyimpulkan, Klarifikasi Lebih Lanjut, serta Dugaan dan Keterpaduan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat representasi dari berpikir kritis dalam buku teks sejarah. Representasi tersebut tidak merata dengan unsur Klarifikasi Dasar memiliki total representasi terbanyak dari seluruh indikator dan unsur Dugaan dan Keterpaduan tidak memiliki representasi sama sekali. Dengan demikian buku teks sejarah kelas 12 memiliki representasi unsur berpikir kritis.\r\n\r\nIn this 21st century, students are required to have 21st century skills. One of the 21st century skills is critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills in Indonesia in the 2022 PISA study are still low. Therefore, learning needs to encourage students to practice their critical thinking skills. Learning in the classroom cannot be separated from the use of learning resources. The most commonly used learning resource is textbooks. In general, this study aims to determine whether there is a representation of critical thinking elements in history textbooks. This study uses content analysis research techniques or qualitative content analysis and research instruments with indicators adapted from critical thinking elements according to Ennis. The critical thinking indicators consist of Basic Clarification, Giving Reasons for a Decision, Concluding, Further Clarification, and Conjecture and Integration. The results of this study indicate that there is a representation of critical thinking in history textbooks. This representation is uneven with the Basic Clarification element having the largest total representation of all indicators and the Conjecture and Integration elements having no representation at all.
