The practice of educational leadership in Indonesia is still far from the threshold of expectations. A number of school principals, in particular, are considered to have failed in representing the competencies of school leadership. On the other hand, there are prestigious leadership practices successfully carried out by certain school principals. Moving away from the gap between the two, this research was conducted to describe the personality profile, competencies, and abilities of school principals at Telkom High School and Vocational School in Bandung Regency, the challenges and supporting factors, and the role of the Telkom Foundation in the development of their leadership. A qualitative approach is used. The data collection technique uses a triangulation model. Determination of the sample through purposive sampling. Analysis of 360-degree model data. All parties involved in the performance activities surrounding the principal participate as participants. Questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation combined provide coherent and comprehensive information. The results and conclusions of the research indicate that: 1) the personality profile of the school principal is described in 38 keywords; 2) the competencies of the principal include being communicative, collaborative, professional, wise, excellent, achievement-oriented, and perfect in personal, managerial, social, and professional competencies; 3) the abilities of the principal, examined through 13 aspects, are stated to be very good and expert, wise, exemplary, and a role model. Additionally, the principal was found to exceed the competency standards for principals in Indonesia due to possessing a good level of digital competence; 4) the role of Telkom Foundation in the development of school principal leadership is to support financing, educational facilities and infrastructure, as well as to manage and develop school human resources; 5) the challenges faced by principals in implementing leadership involve the trust associated with the position of principal consistently. Supporting factors identified include 5 aspects. The recommendations resulting from this research are the addition of 3 points to the principal competency standards, namely digital competency, higher-order thinking skills, and a competency dictionary for school principals.
