Introduction: The aging process causes a decline in the function of the elderly's body systems. Poor sleep quality can affect body balance, leading to a risk of falls in the elderly. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between sleep quality and the risk of falls in the elderly. Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 68 elderly individuals at the Ciparay Elderly Care Center using purposive sampling. Sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire, and fall risk was measured using the Morse Fall Scale (MFS). Spearman correlation test was used for statistical analysis. Results and Discussion: The study found that 63.2% of the elderly in the care center had poor sleep quality, and 45.6% had a low risk of falls. The Spearman test showed that sleep quality was significantly correlated with the risk of falls in the elderly at the Ciparay Elderly Care Center (P=0.002). This indicates that the poorer the sleep quality, the higher the risk of falls. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the poorer the sleep quality of the elderly, the higher the risk of falls. It is recommended that screening or detection of problems in the elderly should be carried out to address issues of sleep quality and fall risk. date: 2024-06-28 date_type: published institution: Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia department: KODEPRODI14201#Keperawatan_S1 thesis_type: other thesis_name: other official_url: https://repository.upi.edu related_url_url: https://perpustakaan.upi.edu/ related_url_type: org citation: Mutiara Saskia Putri, - (2024) HUBUNGAN KUALITAS TIDUR DENGAN RISIKO JATUH PADA LANSIA.
