Kurangnya keterampilan berbicara terlihat dari sikap peserta didik ketika diminta berbicara terutama berbicara formal di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas model kooperatif tipe picture and picture sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain Pra-Eksperimen tipe One Group Pretest – Posttest Design. Sampel yang terpilih adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN C Kota Bandung sebanyak 30 orang menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes berupa pre-test dan post-test jenis unjuk kerja. Analisis data yang dilakukan melalui uji statistik validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, uji Wilcoxon dan nilai n-gain berada pada kategori cukup efektif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model kooperatif tipe picture and picture efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. This study was motivated by fifth-grade elementary school students' need for speaking skills. The lack of speaking skills can be seen in students' attitudes when asked to speak, mainly formal speaking in class. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the picture and picture-type cooperative model in improving the speaking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. This research used a quantitative method with a pre-experiment design and a type one group pretest/posttest design. Using a purposive sampling technique, the selected sample was 30 grade V SDN C Bandung City students. This study used test instruments in the form of pre-test and post-test types of performance. Data analysis was carried out through statistical tests of validity, reliability, normality, and Wilcoxon, and the n-gain value was in the moderately effective category.
