Secara umum penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemetaan penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di sekolah penggerak. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru PAI, bidang kurikulum, serta peserta didik, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian dianalisis melalui langkah-langkah reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dalam pembelajaran PAI di SMA memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Guru PAI lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam merancang materi ajar dan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan kendala dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, seperti resistensi para peserta didik terhadap perubahan dari beberapa pihak. Oleh karena itu, adanya upaya lebih lanjut dar pihak sekolah dan pemerintah untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut ahar implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dapat berjalan lebih optimal. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini mampu memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami praktik implementasi Kuirkulum Merdeka Belajar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di sekolah penggerak. The curriculum is one of the important components in ensuring the success of education, in fact, without a good and appropriate curriculum, it will be difficult to achieve the aspired educational goals and objectives. In general, this study aims to describe the mapping of the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education subjects at the driving school. The approach used in the research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers, curriculum areas, and students, and documentation. Then it was analysed through the steps of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in PAI learning in high schools has a positive impact on improving the quality of learning. PAI teachers are more creative and innovative in designing teaching materials and learning methods that are in accordance with the characteristics of students. However, this study also found obstacles in the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, such as students' resistance to change from several parties. Therefore, there are further efforts from the school and government to overcome these obstacles so that the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum can run more optimally.
