Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah latar belakang terjadinya fenomena BRT seperti pemutusan hubungan kerja, minimnya lapangan kerja, kondisi kesehatan dan kondisi lingkungan. faktor penyebab ketidaksesuaian peran BRT adalah ketidaksadaran dalam menyandang status sebagai BRT, tidak memiliki kemampuan dalam melaksanakan tugas diranah domestik, stigma sosial dan kesalahpahaman masyarakat terkait kewajiban istri dalam rumah tangga. dampak ketidaksesuaian peran BRT menimbulkan konflik keluarga, kehilangan pola asuh, dan peran ganda istri.  upaya memaksimalkan peran BRT yakni dengan menjalin komunikasi yang baik antara suami dan istri. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah perlu adanya penyamaan persepsi terkait dengan pertukaran peran suami dan istri, serta perlu adanya pelatihan formal maupun non formal dalam mencapai BRT yang ideal.     The change in perspective on the role of housefathers in the families of factory workers at PT Glostar Indonesia has given rise to the phenomenon of housefathers. This research aims to determine the factors causing the mismatch in the role of the housewife in the families of factory workers at PT Glostar Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques in this research were observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The theories used in this research are labeling theory and role incongruity theory.  The results of this research are the background to the BRT phenomenon such as layoffs, lack of employment opportunities, health conditions and environmental conditions. The factors causing the mismatch in the role of BRT are not being aware of their status as BRT, not having the ability to carry out duties in the domestic domain, social stigma and public misunderstanding regarding the wife's obligations in the household. The impact of the BRT role mismatch causes family conflict, loss of parenting patterns, and the wife's dual role.  Efforts to maximize the role of BRT are by establishing good communication between husband and wife. The recommendation of this research is that there needs to be a common perception regarding the exchange of roles between husband and wife, as well as the need for formal and non-formal training in achieving the ideal BRT.
