Namun seringkali masalah \r\ntimbul pada siswa, sehingga tingkat konsentrasi dalam memahami sesuatu sering \r\nterganggu baik dalam kegiatan membaca, ataupun berpengaruh dalam penurunan \r\nminat baca saat membaca siswa sehingga membuat siswa sulit untuk mengetahui \r\nmakna bacaan. Penelitian berlangsung dengan menggunakan metode Quasi \r\nEksperiment Nonequivalent Control Group Design, dimana peneliti akan mencari \r\npengaruh atas tindakan yang diberikan baik kepada kelompok eksperimen dan \r\nkelompok kontrol sebagai tujuan dari penelitian ini. Penerapan metode Preview, \r\nQuestion, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) pada kelas eksperimen dengan \r\nberbantuan media digital library pada teks naratif, dinilai menjadi metode yang \r\nefektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa, \r\ndibandingkan kelas kontrol dengan penerapan metode CIRC. Sebagai \r\nrekomendasi untuk penelitian lanjutan, disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian \r\ndengan durasi yang lebih panjang dan menggali pendekatan lain yang dapat \r\nmeningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. \r\n-----\r\nThe role of reading comprehension skills is very important in improving the \r\nknowledge and understanding of each student in learning activities and \r\nunderstanding what they read. But often problems arise in students, so that the \r\nlevel of concentration in understanding something is often disrupted either in \r\nreading activities, or affects the decline in reading interest when reading students \r\nso that it makes it difficult for students to know the meaning of reading. The \r\nresearch took place using the Quasi-Experiment Nonequivalent Control Group \r\nDesign method, where researchers will look for the effect of the actions given to \r\nboth the experimental group and the control group as the purpose of this study. \r\nThe application of Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) \r\nmethod in the experimental class with the help of digital library media on \r\nnarrative text is considered to be an effective method in improving students' \r\nreading comprehension skills, compared to the control class with the application \r\nof the CIRC method.
