Linguistics description: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman siswa SMP dalam belajar menulis cerita pendek. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk medeskripsikan kemampuan siswa menulis cerita pendek sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Teams Games Tournaments, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen one gruop prettest-posttest design kepada siswa fase D SMPN 19 Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menghasilkan tiga perkara. Pertama, kemampuan siswa sebelum menggunakan model Teams games tournaments ada dalam kategori kurang. Kedua, kemampuan siswa sesudah menggunakan model Teams Games Tournaments ada dalam kategori bagus. Ketiga, adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Teams games tournaments dalam pembelajaran menulis teks carita pondok siswa SMP Fase D, berdasarkan hasil data uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini yaitu adanya beda yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa Fase D SMPN 19 Bandung tahun ajaran 2023/2024 sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Teams Games Tournaments. This research is motivated by junior high school students' lack of understanding in learning to write short stories. The purpose of this research is to describe students' ability to write short stories before and after using the Teams Games Tournaments model. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental one group pretest-posttest design method for phase D students at SMPN 19 Bandung. Based on the results of the research, three things emerged. First, students' abilities before using the Teams Games Tournaments model were in the poor category. Second, students' abilities after using the Teams games tournaments model are in the good category. Third, there is a significant difference between students' abilities before and after using the Teams Games Tournaments model in learning to write Carita Pondok texts for Phase D Middle School students, based on the results of hypothesis testing data in this research, namely that there is a significant difference between Phase D Middle School students' ability to write short stories. 19 Bandung 2023/2024 academic year before and after using the Teams Games Tournaments model Ieu panalungtikan dikasangtukangan ku kurangna pamahaman siswa SMP dina diajar nulis téks carita pondok.
