Pengenalan dan penguatan Pendidikan karakter adalah salah satu usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa mengenai sikap yang harus dilakukan Ketika terjadi bencana. Pembiasaan penanaman Pendidikan karakter akan menjadi suatu hal yang akan berguna tatkala menghadapi resiko bencana yang terjadi, Penelitian ini bertujuan guna melihat kesiapsiagaan peserta didik untuk menghadapi bencana banjir bandang. Metode yang dipakai pada penelitian yaitu metode kuasi-eksperimen. Memiliki bentuk Rancangan satu kelompok praperlakuan dan pascaperlakuan (One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design). Hasil penelitian membuktikan jika kesiapsiagaan peserta didik SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung tergolong cukup baik dan terdapat peningkatan pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dalam penerapan kesiapsiagaan bencana melalui Mata Pelajaran IPS di SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung. Education can change and form a good mindset for people's lives. The introduction and strengthening of character education are some of the efforts that can be made to provide students with an understanding of the attitudes that must be taken when a disaster occurs. The habit of planting character education will be something that will be useful when dealing with disaster risks that occur. This study aims to determine the preparedness of students in the face of flood disasters. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental with the form of a pre-treatment and post-treatment group design (One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design).
