Maka salah satu solusinya perlu digunakan bahan lain untuk menggantikan semen portland yang digunakan dalam pembuatan beton. Beton geopolimer adalah jenis beton yang dibuat dari bahan-bahan alami seperti abu vulkanik dan alkali aktif. Beton geopolimer memiliki kelemahan dalam hal workability yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan workability dan durabilitas beton geopolimer dengan penambahan admixture dan serat polypropylene. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Pada penelitian ini besarnya persentase penambahan serat polypropylene adalah 0%; 0,5%;1%; 1,5%; dan 2% terhadap volume beton. Pengujian dilakukan untuk mendapatkan nilai maksimum kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belah menggunakan sampel silinder dengan diameter 10 cm dan tinggi 20 cm. Nilai kuat tekan maksimum terjadi pada beton variasi 0,5% dengan penambahan serat polypropylene yaitu sebesar 25,6 MPa, sedangkan nilai kuat tarik belah maksimum terjadi pada beton variasi 0,5% dengan penambahan polypropylene yaitu sebesar 2,767 MPa. ; The need for concrete in Indonesia is currently increasing, the first thing people often notice is the greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide) produced during cement production. So one solution is to use other materials to replace the Portland cement used in making concrete. Geopolymer concrete is a type of concrete made from natural materials such as volcanic ash and activated alkali. Geopolymer concrete has the disadvantage of low workability. This research aims to improve the workability and durability of geopolymer concrete by adding admixture and polypropylene fiber. The method used is the experimental method. In this study, the percentage of polypropylene fiber addition was 0%; 0,5%; 1%; 1,5%; and 2% of the concrete volume. Tests were conducted to obtain the maximum value of compressive strength and split tensile strength using cylindrical samples with a diameter of 10 cm and a height of 20 cm.
