Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan struktur cerita pendek dan aspek sosial yang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerpen Cinta. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif. Sumber data utama yang digunakan yaitu buku kumpulan cerpen Cinta karya Panglawungan 13. Data dari penelitian ini hasil dari kutipan analisis studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah; pertama adanya struktur cerita dalam 9 cerpen yang terdiri dari tema, fakta cerita (alur, tokoh, dan latar), dan sarana cerita (judul dan sudut pandang); kedua, adanya lima aspek sosial yang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerpen Cinta yaitu aspek sosial agama, aspek sosial moral, aspek sosial ekonomi, aspek sosial politik, dan aspek sosial pendidikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu, dalam kumpulan cerpen Cinta mempunyai struktur atau unsur cerita yang lengkap, dan aspek sosial yang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerpen Cinta dapat dijadikan cerminan untuk kehidupan sehari-hari\r\npembaca di masyarakat. \r\n\r\nThe background of this research is to examine the structure of the story and social\r\naspects that are related to people’s daily lives, which are contained in the collection\r\nof short stories Love by Panglawungan 13. This research has the aim of describing\r\nthe structure of the short stories and social aspects contained in the collection of\r\nshort stories Love. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The main\r\ndata source used is the collection of short stories Love by Panglawungan 13. The\r\ndata from this study are the result of excerpts from the analysis of literature study.\r\nThe results of this study are; first, there is a story structure in 9 short stories\r\nconsisting of themes, story facts (plot, characters, and setting), and literary means\r\n(tittle and point of view); second, there are five social aspects contained in the\r\ncollection of short stories Love, which are the social aspect of religion, the social\r\nmoral aspect, the socio-economic aspect, the socio-political aspect, and the social\r\naspect of education. The conclusion of this study is that in a collection of short\r\nstories Love has a complete structure or story elements, and the social aspects\r\ncontained in a collection of short stories Love can be used as a reflection for the\r\ndaily live of readers in society."^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
