    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan pembelajaran IPS pada abad 21 yang menuntut adanya peningkatan profesionalisme guru melalui penguasaan pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Salah satunya adalah keterampilan interpersonal yang menjadi dasar fondasi dalam membangun rasa percaya diri sebagai calon guru IPS. Keterampilan interpersonal yang baik akan membentuk self-efficacy dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterampilan interpersonal dengan self-efficacy pada mahasiswa calon guru IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Adapun sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 44 mahasiswa dengan teknik simple random sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam teknik analisis data adalah korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan interpersonal mahasiswa IPS berada dalam kategori sedang dengan presentase 63,6% sebanyak 28 mahasiwa, kemudian self-efficacy berada pada kategori rendah dengan presentase 56,8% sebanyak 25 mahasiswa. Serta berdasarkan Nilai Signifikansi dapat diketahui sebesar 0,003 < 0,05 dimana terdapat korelasi antara Keterampilan Interpersonal (X) dan Self-efficacy (Y) sehingga adanya hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara Keterampilan Interpersonal dengan Self-efficacy pada mahasiswa calon guru IPS yang professional.

    This research is motivated by the challenges of social studies learning in the 21st century which demand an increase in teacher professionalism through the mastery of knowledge and skills. One of them is interpersonal skills which form the foundation for building self-confidence as a social studies teacher candidate. Good interpersonal skills will form self-efficacy in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between interpersonal skills and self-efficacy in social studies teacher candidates. This study uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. The sample used was 44 students with simple random sampling technique. The method used in data analysis techniques is pearson product moment correlation. The results showed that social studies students’ interpersonal skills were in the medium category with percentage of 63,6% for 28 students, then self-efficacy was in the low category with a percentage of 56,8% for 25 students. And based on the significance value it can be seen that it is 0,003< 0,05 where there is a correlation between Interpersonal Skills (X) and Self-efficacy (Y) so that there is a significant and positive relationship between Skills Interpersonal with Self-efficacy in professional social studies teacher candidates.
