Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan adanya masalah yang terkait kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak usia 5-6 tahun yang belum berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak sebelum dan setelah menerapkan pembelajaran menggunakan alat permainan Number Cup Tower. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian“one group pre-test and post-test design” yang terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu sebelum perlakuan, tindakan dan sesudah perlakuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun yang berjumlah 25. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian yaitu instrumen tes lisan dan teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial yang meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak dilihat dari data pre-test dan post-test selain itu dari hasil analisis uji statistik diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perubahan signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah penerapan media pembelajaran Dengan demikian maka pengaruh alat permainan edukatif Number Cup Tower sangat signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan keaksaraan awal anak usia 5-6 tahun. Kata kunci: keaksaraan awal, alat permainan edukatif, Number Cup Towe ----- This research is motivated by the existence of problems related to the early literacy abilities of children aged 5-6 years who have not yet developed. The purpose of this study was to analyze significant differences between children's initial literacy skills before and after implementing learning using the Number Cup Tower game. This research is a "one group pre-test and post-test design" study which consists of 3 stages, namely before treatment, action and after treatment. The subjects in this study were 25 children aged 5-6 years. The instruments used in the study were oral test instruments and data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics which included normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in children's early literacy skills seen from the pre-test and post-test data. In addition, from the results of the statistical test analysis, it was concluded that there was a significant change between before and after the application of learning media. Thus, the influence of the Number Cup educational game tool Tower is very significant in increasing the early literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years.
