Abstract

Kecerdasan naturalis sangat penting untuk dimiliki anak agar anak mampu mengenali lingkungannya secara optimal. Kecerdasan naturalis dapat dicapai melalui media pembelajaran yang efektif, salah satunya menggunakan bahan pembelajaran yang disebut loose parts. Loose parts menjadi alat pembelajaran yang relevan dalam konteks pendidikan anak usia dini, membantu memenuhi kebutuhan perkembangan kecerdasan naturalis anak. Guru perlu mempertimbangkan penerapan pembelajaran STEAM berbasis loose parts untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai aktivitas belajar STEAM untuk PAUD yang minim cost melalui penggunaan media alternatif loose parts. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen-non equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian anak usia 5-6 tahun sebanyak 15 anak di kelompok kontrol dan 16 anak di kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes, lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji n-gain, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan naturalis anak pada kelas kontrol berkembang pada kriteria rendah dengan nilai n-gain 0,3 dan kelas eksperimen pada kriteria sedang dengan nilai n-gain 0,6. Penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam penerapan pembelajaran STEAM menggunakan media berbasis loose parts untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan naturalis anak. ----- Naturalist intelligence is very important for children to have so that children can recognize their environment optimally. Naturalist intelligence can be achieved through effective learning media, one of which is using learning materials called loose parts. Loose parts are relevant learning tools in the context of early childhood education, helping to meet the developmental needs of children's naturalist intelligence. Teachers need to consider implementing STEAM learning based on loose parts to be applied in classroom learning. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of STEAM learning activities for PAUD which are minimal in cost through the use of alternative loose parts media. The research method uses a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The research sample for children aged 5-6 years was 15 children in the control group and 16 children in the experimental class. The research instruments used were tests, observation sheets, and interview guidelines. Data were analyzed using the n-gain test, normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results showed that the naturalist intelligence of children in the control class developed at low criteria with an n-gain value of 0.3 and the experimental class at medium criteria with an n-gain value of 0.6. Research shows that there is a significant influence in the application of STEAM learning using loose parts-based media to improve children's naturalist intelligence.
