Abstract
engaruh Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan Proses Habituasi terhadap Pembangunan Karakter Siswa (Studi Deskrptif Analitis Pada SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bangka), Tesis, Mohammadong, S.Pd., 2011 Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi karakter warganegara dewasa ini yang cukup memprihatinkan sehingga timbul permasalahan apakah pembelajaran PKn dan proses habituasi dapat membangun karakter siswa? Selanjutnya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran PKn dan proses habituasi terhadap pembangunan karakter siswa, dengan hipotesis bahwa pembelajaran PKn dan proses habituasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pembangunan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh teori civic education (Cogan), citizenship education continuum (David Kerr). teori perkembangan struktur kognitif (cognotive structure) (Piaget dan Kohlberg), teori character (Sigmund Freud) good character yang meliputi moral knowing, moral feeling, dan moral action (Thomas Lickona). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan pola dominant-lesdominant dari Creswell. Pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan metode survei dengan angket sebagai alat pengumpulan data, dan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan teknik wawancara. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Kabuaten Bangka. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 265 yang ditentukan berdasarkan teknik cluster dan proporsional random sampling. Hasil pengumpulan data diolah secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS 17. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara pembelajaran PKn dengan Pembangunan karakter sebesar 0,322, yang termasuk kategori rendah dengan konstribusi sebesar 10,40%. Terdapat korelasi positif antara proses habituasi dengan pembangunan karakter sebesar 0,630, yang termasuk kategori kuat dengan konstribusi sebesar 39,70%. Terdapat korelasi positif pembelajaran PKn dan proses habituasi secara bersama-sama terhadap pembangunan karakter sebesar 0,641, yang termasuk kategori kuat dengan konstribusi sebesar 41,10%. Dengan demikian, hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan dapat diterima. Secara umum penulis menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan pembelajaran PKn dan proses habituasi terhadap pembangunan karakter. Selanjutnya penulis merekomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kwalitas pembelajaran PKn, meningkatkan pembiasaan lima nilai utama di sekolah, membuat program secara terpadu untuk membangun karakter siswa, serta diadakan penelitian lebih lanjut. The influence of Learning Civic Education and habituation Proces Character Development of Student (Deskrptif Analytical Studies In Secondary Schools in the District of Bangka), Thesis, Mohammadong, S.Pd., 2011 The research was motivated by the condition of the character citizens today are quite apprehensive which raised the question whether the learning civic education and habituation process can build character in students? This study aims to describe and analyze the influence of the learning civic education and habituation process to the character development of students, with the hypothesis that the learning civic education and habituation process have positive and significant impact on students' character development. The research was based on the theory of civic education (Cogan), citizenship education continuum (David Kerr). developmental theory of cognitive structures (cognetive structure) (Piaget and Kohlberg), the theory of character (Sigmund Freud) good character which includes moral knowing, moral feeling and moral action (Thomas Lickona). Methods This study uses quantitative and qualitative approach with a pattern of dominant- lesdominant Creswell. Quantitative approach using a questionnaire survey method as a means of collecting data, and qualitative approaches using interview techniques. The study population was a class VIII student of Bangka Regency SMP. This study sample as many as 265 are determined based on the techniques cluster and proportional random sampling. The results of data collection processed descriptively using SPSS 17. The results show that there is a positive correlation between learning Civics with the character development of 0.322, which includes a low category with a contribution of 10.40%. There is a positive correlation between habituation process with the character development of 0.630, which includes a strong category with a contribution of 39.70%. There is a positive correlation Civics learning and habituation process is jointly on the development of the character of 0.641, which includes a strong category with a contribution of 41.10%. Thus, the hypothesis proposed research is acceptable. The authors conclude that there is a positive and significant influence learning civic education and habituation processes to the development of character. Furthermore, the authors recommend to improve the quality of learning civic education, increase habituation five main values in school, create an integrated program to build students' character, and conducted further research.
