PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TEPUNG MAGGOT (Hermetia illucens) PADA PAKAN BUATAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BENIH IKAN GABUS (Channa striata) Oleh: Imam Zuhdi Program Studi Kelautan dan Perikanan, Kampus Daerah Serang Universitas Pendidkan Indonesia Pembimbing: Himawan Prasetiyo, M.Si Agung Setyo Sasongko, M.Si ABSTRAK Ikan gabus (Channa striata) merupakan salah satu jenis komoditas perikanan air tawar yang banyak peminat di Indonesia. Dalam upaya budidaya ikan gabus (C. striata) pembudidaya perlu mengeluarkan biaya lebih untuk pakan, sehingga pembudidaya butuh pakan yang efektif segi pengeluaran perlu adanya inovasi pembuatan pakan alami yang bersumber dari bahan yang mudah ditemukan dan bernilai tinggi kandungan proteinnya. Pemanfaatan bahan alami berupa maggot yang dijadikan pakan maggot dapat digunakan sebagai bahan utama pengganti pakan komersil untuk pertumbuhan ikan gabus (C. striata). Bahan pakan buatan berupa pakan maggot mampu meningkatkan nutrisi pada pertumbuhan ikan serta pakan lebih disukai oleh ikan gabus. Sebab itu, nilai jual bahan pakan maggot tersebut menjadi lebih berguna. Tujuan akhir penelitian ialah mengamati kandungan nutrisi terbaik pada pakan maggot dan berdampak kepada laju pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan gabus (C. striata). Hasil dari penelitian ini, mampu memberikan dampak yang jelas terkait pengaruh pakan maggot (Hermetia illucens) terhadap laju pertumbuhan benih ikan gabus (Channa striata). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 pengulangan. Perlakuan A sebagai pakan kontrol 100% pakan komersil. Perlakuan B kandungan tepung maggot 25% dan pakan komersil 75%. Perlakuan C kandungan tepung maggot 50% dan pakan komersil 50%. Perlakuan D kandungan tepung maggot 75% dan pakan komersil 25%. Perlakuan 2 (C) menghasilkan laju pertumbuhan, pertumbuhan panjang dan berat tertinggi. Sedangkan hasil dari nilai FCR terbaik dihasilkan oleh perlakuan C ialah 3,16. Pemberian pakan maggot berbeda nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan gabus (Channa striata). In the effort to cultivate snakehead fish (C. striata), farmers need to incur additional costs for feed. Therefore, there is a need for innovative production of natural feed sourced from easily available materials with high protein content. The utilization of maggots as feed can be used as the main ingredient to replace commercial feed for the growth of snakehead fish (C. striata). The artificial feed in the form of maggot feed can enhance the nutritional value for fish growth and is preferred by snakehead fish. As a result, the market value of maggot feed becomes more useful. The ultimate goal of this research is to observe the best nutritional content in maggot feed and its impact on the growth rate and survival of snakehead fish (C. striata). The results of this study clearly demonstrate the influence of maggot feed (Hermetia illucens) on the growth rate of snakehead fish fry (Channa striata). The study employed a completely randomized design consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment 1 served as the control group with 100% commercial feed. Treatment 2 consisted of 25% maggot flour and 75% commercial feed. Treatment 3 consisted of 50% maggot flour and 50% commercial feed. Treatment 4 consisted of 75% maggot flour and 25% commercial feed. Treatment 2 (C) yielded the highest growth rate, length, and weight. The best FCR value was obtained from treatment C, which was 3.16. The provision of maggot feed significantly influenced the growth rate and survival of snakehead fish fry (Channa striata).
