Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya media pembelajaran dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Selain itu, dari data yang didapat masih banyak anak yang belum peduli terhadap lingkungan dan kurangnya terstimulasinya dalam literasi kritis. Akibatnya, anak sering membuang sampah sembarangan, dan merusak tanaman. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti melakukan pengembangan Lift the Flap Book sebagai media pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan media lift the flap book dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis anak usia dini, 2) untuk mengetahui hasil uji validasi media lift the flap book dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis anak usia dini, 3) untuk mengetahui hasil uji coba penggunaan media lift the flap book dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Educational Design Research (EDR) dengan model Plomp. Instrumen dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, angket validasi ahli, angket respon kepala sekolah dan guru, dan lembar observasi anak. Partisipan penelitian ini yaitu enam orang anak usia 5-6 tahun di salah satu TK di kawasan desa Hegarmanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) proses pengembangan media lift the flap book dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis yaitu identifikasi masalah, brief content, pembuatan ilustrasi, prototipe, berdiskusi dengan para ahli, revisi, dan cetak, 2) hasil uji validasi media lift the flap book dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis yaitu hasil uji ahli materi dan media memperoleh hasil dalam kategori “Sangat Layak”, 3) hasil uji coba pengguna media lift the flap book dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis berhasil memberikan stimulus dalam pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis, dan hasil uji coba pengguna kepada kepala sekolah dan guru sebagai respon pengguna memperoleh hasil dalam kategori “Sangat Layak”. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Lift the Flap Book yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dan literasi kritis pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. -------- This research is motivated by the lack of learning media in environmental care character education and critical literacy in children aged 5-6 years. In addition, from the data obtained there are still many children who do not care about the environment and lack of stimulation in critical literacy. As a result, children often litter and damage plants. Based on this, researchers developed Lift the Flap Book as a medium for character education that cares for the environment and critical literacy for children aged 5-6 years. The aims of this study were 1) to find out the process of developing the lift the flap book media in character education for environmental care and critical literacy for early childhood, 2) to find out the results of the lift the flap book media validation test in character education for environmental care and critical literacy for early childhood, 3) to find out the results of trials using the lift the flap book media in character education for environmental care and critical literacy for early childhood. This study used the Educational Design Research (EDR) method with the Plomp model. The instruments and data collection techniques used were interviews, expert validation questionnaires, principal and teacher response questionnaires, and children's observation sheets. The participants in this study were six children aged 5-6 years in one of the kindergartens in the Hegarmanah village area. The results showed that 1) the process of developing the lift the flap book media in environmental care character education and critical literacy, namely problem identification, brief content, making illustrations, prototypes, discussing with experts, revision, and printing, 2) the results of the lift the flap book media validation test in environmental care character education and critical literacy, namely the results of material and media expert tests obtained results in the "Very Eligible" category, 3) the results of user trials of lift the flap book media in environmental care character education and critical literacy succeeded in providing a stimulus in environmental care character education and critical literacy, and the results of user trials to principals and teachers as a user response obtain results in the "Very Eligible" category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed Lift the Flap Book media is suitable for use as a medium for environmental care character education and critical literacy in children aged 5-6 years.
