Abstract

Seren Taun merupakan salah – satu budaya yang harus tetap dijaga kelstariannya. Dari segi kegiatan upacara adat seren taun memiliki sebuah nilai – nilai kearifan lokal yang bisa dijadikan sebagi sumber pelajaran hidup baik dalam dunia pendidikan maupun sosial. Pentingnya menjaga nilai – nilai kearifan lokal dengan cara menegenal, memahami dan menghayati bagaimana berperilaku yang baik, yang akhirnya diaplikasikan dalam sebuah kehidupan. Pelestarian upacara adat seren taun ditemukan beberapa permasalahan yaitu kurangnya rasa memiliki, lebih mempopulerkan budaya asing dan masih kurangnya dukungan dari pemerintah setempat. di samping itu aktivitas masyarkat juga tidak sepenuhnya memeriahkan dan mengikuti upacara adat seren taun. Karya tulis ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pelestarian nilai – nilai Kearifan lokal pada upacara adat seren taun di Desa Citorek Lebak Banten.Topik pembahasan meliputi kajian tentang deskripsi upacara adat seren taun di Desa Citorek Lebak Banten, nilai pedagogik yang terkandung dalam upacara adat seren taun dan pelestarian nilai – nilai kearifan lokal melalui upacara adat seren taun di Desa Citorek Lebak Banten. proses pengumpulan data ditempuh menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode ethnografi. Hasil kajian ini adalah terdpat nilai – nilai kearifan lokal pada upacara adat seren taun yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan jaman pada saat ini. yang mana di dalamnya terdapat beberap nilai, diantaranya: 1) nilai sosial yang didalamnya terdapat nilai gotong royong, nilai menjaga lingkungan, nilai saling bahu – mebahu. 2) nilai moral, yaitu nilai ketaatan,nilai keyakinan, nilai toleransi. 3) nilai nilai pendidikan, yaitu nilai kerja keras, nilai mandiri, nilai semangat kebersamaan, nilai cinta tanah air, nilai peduli lingkungan dan nilai kreatif. Nilai - nilai tersebut terakomodir dalam budaya dan tradisi yang ada di desa Citorek Lebak Banten. Dilihat dari uraian di atas dapat dijelaskan bahwa, tindakan yang dilakukan setiap masyarakat dalam upacara adat seren taun dapat menghasilakn prestasi yaitu sebuah nilai – nilai kearifan lokal. Seren Taun is a culture that must be preserved. In terms of traditional ceremonial activities, the seren taun has local wisdom values that can be used as a source of life lessons both in the educational and social worlds. The importance of maintaining the values of local wisdom by knowing, understanding and experiencing how to behave properly, which is ultimately applied in life. The preservation of the traditional seren taun ceremony found several problems, namely the lack of a sense of belonging, the more popularization of foreign culture and the lack of support from the local government. besides that the community activities also do not fully enliven and follow the traditional ceremony of seren taun. This paper aims to describe the preservation of local wisdom values in the traditional seren taun ceremony in Citorek Lebak Banten Village. local wisdom values through the traditional ceremony of seren taun in Citorek Lebak Village, Banten. the data collection process was pursued using a qualitative descriptive approach using ethnographic methods. The results of this study are that there are local wisdom values in the traditional seren taun ceremony which are related to current developments. in which there are several values, including: 1) social values in which there are mutual cooperation values, values of protecting the environment, values of shoulder to shoulder. 2) moral values, namely the value of obedience, the value of belief, the value of tolerance. 3) educational values, namely the value of hard work, the value of independence, the value of the spirit of togetherness, the value of loving the motherland, the value of caring for the environment and the creative value. These values are accommodated in the culture and traditions that exist in the village of Citorek Lebak, Banten. Judging from the description above, it can be explained that the actions taken by each community in the traditional ceremony of seren taun can produce achievements, namely local wisdom values.
