Abstract

Sepak takraw game is a game played by two teams facing each other which demands good teamwork in order to be able to beat the opponent. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect teamwork in playing sepak takraw, to find out how a learning model influences the result of teamwork enhancement. Accordingly, the researchers examined the initiative by implementing cooperative learning model to enhance teamwork in the game of sepak takraw. The method used in this study is an experimental method. Experimental method is a study that provides a treatment to the object of the researcher. Before being given a treatment, some preliminary tests was given first to find out the outcome before the treatment was given and was ended with a final test to find out the results after the treatment given. The instrument used was questionnaires and observation. While the data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observation and photo documentation. The data processed with statistical analysis, a normality test data and the data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The population in this study were students who joined in the extracurricular activities of sepak takraw, while the sample used is total sampling or saturated sample so that all of the population was used as the sample. The samples used were the students who take part in the extracurricular activities of sepak takraw in SDN South Andir Bandung as many as 10 people. Aspects of the game of sepak takraw assessed by a model of cooperative learning are the process of treatment and teamwork elements and factors. A positive rank obtained is 10 and Zhitung (-2.805) which is a bigger score compared to the result before the treatment was given. This can be seen from the significant smaller value of α = 0.05, so the H0 was rejected. This means that there are significant differences between students’ teamwork in the game of sepak takraw before and after the model of cooperative learning was applied in SDN South Andir Bandung. Students who were given the model of cooperative learning have improved better than the students who were not given the implementation of cooperative learning model in terms of students’ teamwork in the game of sepak takraw in SDN South Andir Bandung.
