Abstract

PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung merupakan perusahaan manufaktur Indonesia yang berada di bawah pembinaan kementerian BUMN yang usahanya bergerak dalam bidang produk militer maupun produk komersial. Untuk dapat menghasilkan laba yang tinggi maka perusahaan harus melakukan usaha secara efektif dan efisien. Pencapaian laba perusahaan sangat tergantung terhadap jumlah kekayaan yang dimiliki perusahaan itu sendiri. Jumlah kekayaan bisa didapatkan dari banyaknya penjualan, namun perkembangan perusahaan akan terus berubah seiring dengan perkembangan zaman. Perusahaan harus mampu untuk mengelola kekayaan itu sehingga kemampuan perusahaan untuk mendapatkan laba dapat meningkat dan dipertahankan dari tahun ke tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen modal kerja, profitabilitas dan pengaruh manajemen modal kerja terhadap profitabilitas. Objek penelitian ini adalah laporan keuangan PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung periode 1998 sampai dengan periode 2007. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan Divisi Akuntansi dan Keuangan PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung, observasi non partisipan dan studi literatur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif verifikatif, metode explanatory survey dan menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan menggunakan teknik sampling yaitu teknik purposive sampling. Sedangkan pengolahan data menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian statistik diperoleh informasi bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara manajemen modal kerja dengan profitabilitas PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung, maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa profitabilitas dipengaruhi oleh manajemen modal kerja sebesar 4% dan sisanya sebesar 96% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain seperti total aktiva, volume penjualan dan modal sendiri. PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung is Indonesian Manufacture Company which is under development of BUMN Department and its effort is in military product and commercial product sector. The company’s main goal is to get the profit, and to be able to get the high profit, the company should do the effort effectively and efficiently. The achievement of company’s profit is very depending on amount of wealth that company has it self. The amount of wealth can be obtained from the number of selling, however the development of the company will always change along with the development of time. The company must be able in managing that wealth therefore the ability of the company to get the profit can be raised and maintained year by year. The goal of this research is to know about work capital management, profitability and the influence of work capital management toward profitability. The object of this research is for financial report of PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung, period of 1998 to 2007. The data used in this research is primer and secondary data, with data collecting technique through the interview with accountancy and financial division of PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung, non-participant observation and literature study. This research is verificative descriptive, explanatory survey and case study method by using sampling technique which is called purposive sampling technique. Whereas processing of data using a simple linear regression analysis. Base on statistical testing result, is found the information that there was a positive influence between financial capital management and profitability of PT PINDAD (Persero) Bandung, and then the conclusion is that the profitability was influenced by financial capital management is about 4% and the rest is about 96 % was influenced by other factors such as the total of assets, volume of selling and own capital.
