Abstract

Lanjut usia adalah tahapan terakhir dari perkembangan hidup manusia, di mana hal tersebut adalah proses yang natural dan tentunya tiap manusia tidak bisa menghindarinya. Lansia mengalami berbagai perubahan dari segi sosial, mental, hingga fisik. Penyakit yang sering sekali dijumpai pada lansia yaitu diabetes melitus. Diabetes melitus dapat menyebabkan komplikasi yang serius , komplikasi ini dapat menyebabkan lansia mengalami gangguan mental berupa kecemasan dan depresi atau usia tua yang tidak bahagia pada beberapa orang. Berdasarkan RISKESDAS tahun 2018, diabetes melitus menjadi penyakit yang sering menyerang lansia,dengan pravelensi di Indonesia tercatat sekitar 1.017.290 orang atau 1,5 % dalam kategori umum sedangkan dalam kategori lansia tercatat sebesar 58.745 dari total keseluruhan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu guna mengetahui gambaran tingkat kecemasan pada lansia penderita diabetes melitus terhadap penyakit yang disebabkan oleh diabetes melitus yang ada diwilayah binaan puskesmas Kotakaler, Sumedang Utara. Penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif ini melibatkan 34 responden yang dipilih menggunakan random sampling. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwasanya mayoritas lansia penderita diabetes melitus diwilayah binaan puskesmas Kotakaler,Kecamatan Sumedang utara mengalami kecemasan dengan kategori kecemasan sedang sebanyak 17 orang (50.0 %), kecemasan ringan 10 orang (29.4 %), kecemasan berat 5 orang (14.7%), tidak mengalami kecemasan 1 orang (2.9%) dan 1 orang dalam kategori sangat berat/panik (2.9%). Elderly is the final stage of the development of human life, which is a natural process that cannot be avoided by everyone. The elderly experience various physical, mental and social changes. Physical changes include decreased physical strength, stamina and appearance. The disease that is often found in the elderly is diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus can cause serious complications, these complications can cause the elderly to experience mental disorders in the form of anxiety and depression or unhappy old age in some people, they become ineffective at work and social roles when they depend on physical energy that they no longer have . Based on the 2018 RISKESDAS, one of the diseases that is often found in the elderly is diabetes mellitus, with prevalence in Indonesia recorded at around 1,017,290 people or 1.5% in the general category while in the elderly category there were 58,745 of the total. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of anxiety in elderly people with diabetes mellitus for diseases caused by diabetes mellitus in the target area of the Kotakaler Health Center, Sumedang Utara. This research is a descriptive quantitative research using random sampling technique. The sample used in this study was 34 people from the total population. The results of this study found that the majority of elderly people with diabetes mellitus in the target area of the Kotakaler Health Center, North Sumedang District experienced anxiety in the category of moderate anxiety as many as 17 people (50.0%), mild anxiety 10 people (29.4%), severe anxiety 5 people (14.7%), 1 person (2.9%) did not experience anxiety and was in the very severe/panic category (2.9%).
