Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemia disebabkan oleh kelainan sekresi insulin, kerja insulin, atau keduanya.Ada beberapa kunci keberhasilan penatalaksanaan diabetes, yaitu penerapan 4 pilar rejimen pengobatan. Keteraturan pasien menerima serta menjalani pengobatan membantu mengurangi risiko komplikasi kematian akibat DM dan dapat menguranginya, oleh karena itu dukungan keluarga mempunyai peranan sangat penting, karena keluarga bisa memberikan dorongan fisik maupun mental, dengan dukungan keluarga, penderita diabetes dapat meningkatkan kepatuhannya terhadap penyakitnya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk bagaimana dukungan emosional,dukungan penghargaan, dukungan informasi, dukungan instrumental keluarga pada lansia penderita diabetes mellitus terhadap resiko terjadinya luka diabetikum. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif kuantitatif non ekperimen dengan metode survei, dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen yang berupa kuesioner dengan populasi sebanyak 58 respondendan memakai teknik total sampling.Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh hampir seluruh dari responden bahwa keluarga yang memiliki lansia pederita DM memberikan dukungan yang cukup dengan responden sebanyak 56 responden dan persentase (96.6%), kemudian responden yang memberikan dukungan yang baik yaitu sebanyak2 responden dengan persentase (3.4%), sedangkan untuk kategori kurang dalam dukungan keluarga itu (0%) menunjukan bahwa persentase tertinggi bahwa keluarga memberikan dukungan yang cukup pada lansia penderita diabetes melitus terhadap terjadinya resiko luka dm. Diharapkan bagi lansia penderita diabetes ini sebagai bahan kajian dan evaluasi terhadap terjadinya resiko luka diabetik Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia caused by defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. There are several keys to successful diabetes management, namely the application of the 4 pillars of a treatment regimen. Regularity of patients receiving and undergoing treatment helps reduce the risk of complications of death due to DM and can reduce it, therefore family support has a very important role, because the family can provide physical and mental encouragement, with family support, diabetics can improve adherence to their disease. This study aims to determine how emotional support, appreciation support, information support, family instrumental support for elderly people with diabetes mellitus are at risk of developing diabetic ulcers. This research method is a non-experimental quantitative descriptive survey method, and the data collection technique uses an instrument in the form of a questionnaire with a population of 58 respondents and uses a total sampling technique. The results of this study obtained almost all of the respondents that families who have elderly people with DM provide sufficient support with 56 respondents and a percentage (96.6%), then respondents who provide good support are as many as 2 respondents with a percentage (3.4%), whereas for the category lacking in family support (0%) shows that the highest percentage is that the family provides sufficient support for elderly people with diabetes mellitus against the risk of diabetes mellitus. It is hoped that the elderly with diabetes will serve as material for study and evaluation of the risk of diabetic ulcersKeywords: Family Support, Risk of Injury, Diabetes Mellitus
