Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh kegiatan bermedia digital khususnya orang tua sekolah dasar yang kurang memahami literasi digital. Di Indonesia sebagian besar masyarakat belum memperhatikan etika digital ketika menggunakan media digital. Banyak pengguna yang masih terpengaruh informasi hoaks. Media digital juga banyak digunakan dalam hal bertentangan dengan etika dan moral seperti mengakses situs porno dan eksploitasi seksual, serta melakukan perundungan (cyber bullying). Salah satu alasan terjadi kegiatan tersebut karena rendahnya literasi digital. Oleh sebab itu, sebelum menggunakan media digital baiknya memahami etika dan peraturan, agar tercipta ruang digital yang sehat dan produktif. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tahapan metodologi penelitian survey, dan proses pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument berupa angket. Subjek dalam penelitian ialah orang tua peserta didik sekolah dasar di kota Tasikmalaya. Literasi digital ethics orang tua peserta didik aspek etika digital ketika di ruang digital berada di kategori sangat baik (39.1%), aspek dampak ketika menjadi pembuat atau penyebar informasi yang mengandung hoaks, ujaran kebencian, pornografi, dan konten negatif berada di kategori sangat baik (52.7%), aspek dasar berinteraksi, partisipasi, dan kolaborasi di ruang digital sesuai kaidah etika dan peraturan yang berlaku berada di kategori sangat baik (42.7%), aspek dasar berinteraksi dan bertransaksi secara elektronik di ruang digital sesuai peraturan yang berlaku berada di kategori sangat baik (51.8%), aspek edukasi literasi digital ethics orang tua terhadap peserta didik berada di kategori sangat baik (51.8%). Demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar orang tua peserta didik sekolah dasar di kota Tasikmalaya berada dalam kategori sangat baik mengenai literasi digital ethics di ruang digital. One of the reasons for this activity is due to low digital literacy. Therefore, before using digital media it is better to understand ethics and regulations, in order to create a healthy and productive digital space. This research was conducted through the stages of survey research methodology, and the data collection process using instruments in the form of questionnaires. The subject in the study is the parents of elementary school students in Tasikmalaya City. Digital Literacy Ethics Parents Students aspects of digital ethics when in a digital space are in a very good category (39.1%), aspects of impact when becoming a maker or disseminator of information containing hoaks, utterances of hatred, pornography, and negative content are in a very good category ( 52.7%), the basic aspects of interacting, participation, and collaboration in digital spaces according to the rules of ethics and regulations that apply in the very good category (42.7%), the basic aspects of interacting and transacting electronically in the digital space according to the applicable regulations are in the very category Good (51.8%), aspects of educational education for parents' digital ethics for students are in the very good category (51.8%). It can be concluded that most parents of elementary school students in the city of Tasikmalaya are in the very good category of digital ethics literacy in the digital space.
