Abstract
Gerak dasar merupakan pembelajaran penting pada penjas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterampilan gerak dasar siswa di sekolah dasar dan siswa madrasah ibtidaiyah di Kecamatan Sagalaherang. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan partisipan siswa kelas 4 dari SDN Sagalaherang II dan MIS Al - Huda III dengan rentang usia 8 – 10 tahun yang berjumlah total 51 siswa (37 siswa laki-laki dan 14 siswa perempuan). Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan Test Of Gross Motor Development - 2 (TGMD – 2). Hasil pengukuran diperoleh bahwa kemampuan gerak dasar siswa SD dan MI berada pada kategori “rata-rata” dengan perolehan rata-rata nilai sebesar 44 (laki–laki= 48 dan perempuan= 33. Peran guru dan sekolah masih sangat diperlukan untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan gerak dasar siswa. Basic motion is an important lesson in physical education. The purpose of this study was to determine the basic movement skills of students in elementary schools and elementary school students in Sagalaherang District. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, with 4th grade students from SDN Sagalaherang II and MIS Al – Huda III with an age range of 8-10 years, totaling 51 students (37 male students and 14 female students). The research instrument used the Test Of Gross Motor Development - 2 (TGMD - 2). The measurement results obtained that the basic movement abilities of elementary and MI students were in the "average" category with an average score of 44 (boys = 48 and girls = 33. The role of teachers and schools is still very much needed to be able to improve students' basic motor skills
