Abstract

This research is motivated by problems with the basic technical skills of badminton games and a lack of understanding of a training method. This study aims to determine the comparison of block practice and random practice training methods on the basic technical skills of badminton. This research method uses a True-Eksperimental Desain. A research design that uses only post-tests with research subjects randomized and there is a control group and an experimental group. A research design that uses only post-tests with research subjects randomized and there is a control group and an experimental group. The treatment of the two groups was given an exercise method. The number of samples is 14 students, namely with the experimental group giving random practice and the control group giving the block practice program. The results showed a comparison between the block practice method and random practice on the basic technical skills of badminton games with the mean of the random practice group of 60.57 and the block practice group 64.00 with an average difference of 3.43. With the calculation of the independent sample test the value of the two methods is 0.673. There is no significant difference between the block practice and random practice methods on the basic technical skills of badminton games, although both methods have an effect on the basic skills of badminton
