Abstract

This study aims to clearly determine the physical condition of table tennis athletes and determine the relationship between physical condition and the achievements of UKM Tenis Meja UPI athletes. From the results of the physical condition component test, it will be ranked and associated with the athlete's achievements that have been obtained in the championships that have been followed. The physical condition components to be studied include: arm muscle power, reaction time, coordination, agility, wrist flexibility, hip flexibility and anaerobic endurance. This research is a correlation quantitative research. The research sample consisted of 10 table tennis athletes who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The test instruments used are two-hand medicine ball put, ruler drop test, ball throwing test, shuttle run, goniometer, sit and reach and running-based anaerobic sprint test. The data analysis technique uses the bivariate correlation test using SPSS version 25. The results showed that UKM Tenis Meja UPI athletes have a level of physical condition according to standard needs or in a very good category. The relationship between the level of physical condition and athlete achievement can be stated to have a significance value of 0.040 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence in the relationship between physical condition and athlete achievement.
