Abstract

ABSTRAK Penggunaan Media Word Pockets Berbasis Digital dengan Pendekatan EMRED untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Karangan Narasi Artistik Siswa Kelas IV SDN Kembangan Utara 09 Jakarta Nuril Aufah Program Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Kampus Serang, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Keterampilan menulis menjadi satu dari sekian aspek komunikasi yang kepemilikannya menjadi ciri dari kemajuan suatu bangsa. Namun, keterampilan yang diajarkan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia ini masih ditemukan kesulitan pada siswa kelas IV SDN Kembangan Utara 09 dalam menentukan dan menuangkan gagasan dan ide cerita, kepemilikan kosakata yang rendah sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis. Hal tersebut dikarenakan pembelajaran dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan guru hanya menggunakan buku sebagai satu-satunya sumber sekaligus media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi artistik, serta aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran dalam penggunaan media word pockets dengan pendekatan EMRED pada materi pokok menulis narasi. Media word pockets diaplikasikan berbentuk digital melalui platform powerpoint. Pendekatan EMRED menurut Salim (2022) terdiri dari lima unsur, Emmersion, Modelling, Repetition, Exploration, dan Demonstration. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Taggart berlangsung selama 3 siklus. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV SDN Kembangan Utara 09 Jakarta yang terdiri dari 15 siswa laki-laki dan 14 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data, yakni observasi,wawancar, tes, dan dokumentasi. Diperoleh hasil penelitian, nilai rata-rata tes keterampilan menulis karangan narasi artistik pada pra siklus sebesar 40,51 belum mencapai nilai KKM (70). Siklus I sebesar 52,42. Lalu siklus II sebesar 66,37. Kemudian siklus III nilai rata-rata jauh meningkat dari siklus sebelumnya, ialah sebesar 74,82 berhasil mencapai KKM. Pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran juga mengalami peningkatan di setiap siklusnya. Dari perolehan data tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media word pockets dengan pendekatan EMRED pada siswa kelas IV SDN Kembangan Utara 09 Jakarta terbukti berhasil dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi artistik. However, the skills taught in learning Indonesian still found difficulties in fourth grade students at SDN Kembangan Utara 09 in determining and expressing ideas and story ideas, low vocabulary ownership which led to low students' ability to write. This is because learning is carried out using the lecture method and the teacher only uses books as the only source as well as learning media. This research was carried out with the aim of improving the skills of writing artistic narrative essays, as well as the activities of teachers and students during the learning process in the use of mediaWord pockets with EMRED's approach to the subject matter of narrative writing. MediaWord pockets applied in digital form through the platform powerpoint. The EMRED approach according to Salim (2022) consists of five elements, Emmersion, Modelling, Repetition, Exploration, dan Demonstration. The research approach uses a qualitative approach and Classroom Action Research (PTK) methods with the Kemmis and Taggart models lasting for 3 cycles. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SDN Kembangan Utara 09 Jakarta consisting of 15 male students and 14 female students. Data collection techniques, namely observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the average score for writing artistic narrative essays in the pre-cycle was 40.51 but did not reach the KKM score (70). Cycle I of 52.42. Then the second cycle of 66.37. Then in cycle III the average value was much increased from the previous cycle, which was 74.82 and succeeded in achieving the KKM. Observation of teacher and student activities during the learning process has also increased in each cycle. From the acquisition of these data, it was concluded that the use of mediaWord pockets with the EMRED approach to class IV students at SDN Kembangan Utara 09 Jakarta proved successful in improving the skills of writing artistic narrative essays.
