Abstract

ABSTRAK Penanaman karakter tangguh peserta didik di sekolah dasar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari ditengah pesatnya era digital adalah sangat penting. Untuk membangun karakter tangguh peserta didik maka dibutuhkan pengembangan model pembelajaran IPS kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran IPS kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal untuk membangun karakter tangguh peserta didik di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian ini research and development (R and D), melalui tiga langkah, yaitu: (1) tahap studi pendahuluan, yang meliputi kajian pustaka, survey lapangan, dan penyusunan desain model awal; (2) tahap pengembangan model, yang meliputi draft model awal, validasi model dan uji coba terbatas. Tahap uji coba model yakni dilakukan dengan eksperimen, yaitu membandingkan efektifitas model, dengan cara membandingkan keadaan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model, dengan melakukan pre-experimental design, one-group Pre-test-postest Design pada dua sekolah; (3) efektivitas pengembangan model melalui uji luas dengan kuasi eksperimen pada enam sekolah. Tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru, sumber pembelajaran pada buku teks, materi pelajaran belum kontekstual dan belum menggali nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran IPS, 2) desain enam sintak model pembelajaran IPS Kreatif, yaitu: stimulasi, eksplorasi, experience, bimbingan, refleksi dan motivasi, yang disingkat dengan siexpress melalui pendekatan SEKOCI (sederhana, konkrit, cinta dan interaktif). Dalam enam sintak tersebut model pembelajaran IPS kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal dalam mengembangkan karakter tangguh menggunakan permainan tradisional diuji secara terbatas pada dua sekolah 3) efektifitas pembelajaran ini diuji secara luas pada enam sekolah untuk penyempurnaan sebuah model pembelajaran IPS kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal melalui permainan tradisional dilakukan secara berulang-ulang sehingga terbentuk karakter yang tangguh. Simpulan penelitian bahwa model pembelajaran IPS kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal efektif mengembangkan karakter tangguh peserta didik seperti disiplin, berani, kerja keras dan pantang menyerah. Kata kunci: Karakter Tangguh, Kearifan Lokal, Pembelajaran IPS Kreatif ABSTRACT Instilling the tough character of students in elementary schools in everyday life amidst the rapid digital era is very important. To build the tough character of students, it is necessary to develop a creative social studies learning model based on local wisdom. This study aims to develop a creative social studies learning model based on local wisdom to build the strong character of elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach with research and development (R and D) research methods, through three steps, namely: (1) preliminary study stage, which includes literature review, field survey, and preparation of the initial model design; (2) the model development stage, which includes the initial model draft, model validation and limited trials. The testing phase of the model is carried out by experiment, namely comparing the effectiveness of the model, by comparing the conditions before and after using the model, by carrying out a pre-experimental design, one-group pre-test-posttest design in two schools; (3) the effectiveness of model development through broad tests with quasi-experiments in six schools. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The research findings show that: 1) learning is still teacher-centered, the learning resources are in textbooks, the subject matter is not yet contextual and has not explored local wisdom values in social studies learning, 2) the design of the six syntaxes of the Creative IPS learning model, namely: stimulation, exploration , experience, guidance, reflection and motivation, which is abbreviated as siexpress through the SEKOCI approach (simple, concrete, love and interactive). In these six syntaxes the creative social studies learning model based on local wisdom in developing tough characters using traditional games was tested in a limited way in two schools 3) the effectiveness of this learning was tested extensively in six schools to perfect a creative social studies learning model based on local wisdom through traditional games carried out over and over again to form a strong character. The conclusion of the research is that the creative social studies learning model based on local wisdom is effective in developing students' strong characters such as discipline, courage, hard work and never giving up.
