Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar kimia materi makromolekul dengan konteks edible film menggunakan metode Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD) untuk membangun keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Development Research (DR) yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan : Design, Development dan Evaluation. Hasil pengembangan bahan ajar pada tahap, Design menghasilkan rancangan bahan ajar berupa buku cetak. Tahapan Development, pengembangan bahan ajar menggunakan metode Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD) yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik. Tahap pertama ini diawali dengan seleksi menghasilkan 12 indikator pencapaian kompetensi dan 26 label konsep. Pada langkah seleksi sumber digunakan 8 buah buku teks internasional dan 1 buah buku SMA. Konteks substansi yang digunakan adalah pembuatan edible film dari karagenan rumput laut, sedangkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang dikembangkan melalui bahan ajar sebagai konteks pedagogik. Hasil yang didapatkan pada tahap strukturisasi adalah peta konsep; struktur makro dan tiga level representasi yang sesuai dengan konteks edible film sehingga bahan ajar yang dihasilkan pun berbeda dengan bahan ajar lain. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan bahwa dari 41 teks yang diujikan pada 38 siswa kelas XII di salah satu SMA swasta kota Bandung terdapat sebanyak 4 teks yang termasuk kedalam kategori sulit yang kemudian dilakukan reduksi didaktik. Hasil dari tahap reduksi didaktik adalah teks yang sulit diberikan perlakuaan dengan jenis reduksi didaktik kembali kepada tahapan kualitatif dan partikularisasi. Hasil tahap Evaluation terhadap bahan ajar menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki kelayakan 100% dari segi isi, kebahasaan, penyajian, kegrafikaan dan muatan konteks edible film. Rata-rata keterpahaman dengan 98,81% dengan tingkat keterpahaman tinggi. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang potensial dikembangkan melalui bahan ajar ini adalah keterampilan berpikir (Fluency, Originality, Flexibility, serta Evaluation). Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian ini bahwa bahan ajar kimia materi makromolekul dengan konteks edible film layak digunakan dengan keterpahaman yang tinggi, serta mampu membangun keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Kata kunci: Bahan Ajar, Makromolekul, 4STMD, Edilbe Film, Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif This study aims to produce chemistry teaching and learning materials on macromolecule topic in the context of edible films using the Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD) method to build students' creative thinking skills. The research method used is Development Research (DR) which consists of three stages: Design, Development and Evaluation. The results of the development of teaching and learning materials at the Design stage produce a design of teaching materials in the form of printed books. The Development Stage, the development of teaching and learning materials use the Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD) method which consists of four stages, namely selection, structurzation, characterization and didactic reduction. This first stage begins with the selection to produce 12 indicators of competence achievment and 26 concept labels. In the source selection step, 8 international textbooks and 1 high school book were used. Substance context that used is the making of edible films from carrageenan of seaweed, while creative thinking skills are developed through teaching and learning materials as a pedagogic context. The results obtained at the structurization stage are concept maps; macro structure and three levels of representation in accordance with the context of edible film so that the teaching and learning materials produced different from others. The characterization results showed that the 41 texts tested on 38 class XII students at a private high school in Bandung, there were 4 texts that included in the difficult category, which then reduced by didactics. The results of the didactic reduction stage are texts that are difficult were given didactic reduction with type back to the qualitative and particularization stages. The results of the Evaluation stage of the teaching and learning materials show that the developed teaching and learning materials have 100% eligibility in terms of content, language, presentation, graphics and edible film context content. An average comprehension is 98.81% with a high level of understanding. Creative thinking skills that have the potential to be developed through this teaching and learning materials are thinking skills (Fluency, Originality, Flexibility, and Evaluation). The conclusion obtained from the results of this study is that chemistry teaching and learning materials on macromolecules in the context of edible films are appropriate to use with high understanding, and are able to build students' creative thinking skills.
