Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPS peserta didik. Rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik ini dikarenakan kurangnya guru dalam mengeksplor media pembelajaran yang dimana media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih konvensional berupa gambar-gambar dari buku tematik “Indahnya Keragaman di Negeriku”. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media permainan kartu kuartet untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV materi keragaman budaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Design and Development (D&D) yang dikembangkan oleh Branch, melalaui lima tahapan yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, yang dapat disingkat ADDIE. Pengembangan desain media kartu kuartet dilakukan peneliti berdasarkan kompetensi dasar serta ranah kognitif peserta didik yang dilengkapi dengan kemasan kartu kuartet, buku panduan, kartu kuartet, serta kartu ciri khas keragaman budaya. Hasil penilaian validasi ahli berupa angket menunjukkan bahwa media permainan kartu kuartet berada dikategori sangat baik. Media permainan kartu kuartet materi keragaman budaya juga diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas IV Sekolah dasar melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil uji coba menunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil pre-test dan post-test.Selain itu, peneliti melakukan uji Ngain dari Ngain dari pretest dan posttest yang sudah dikerjakan oleh siswa, hasil perhitungan rata-rata menunjukan bahwa media permaian kartu kuartet berada dikategori efektif. Dengan hal tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa pengembangan media permainan kartu kuartet ini layak digunakan dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VI Sekolah Dasar. This research is motivated by the low social studies learning outcomes of students. The low learning outcomes of these students are due to the lack of teachers in exploring learning media where the learning media used are still conventional in the form of pictures from the thematic book "The Beauty of Diversity in My Country". Based on this, this study aims to develop a quartet card game media to improve social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students on cultural diversity. The research method used in this study is the Design and Development (D&D) method developed by Branch, through five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, which can be abbreviated as ADDIE. The development of the quartet card media design was carried out by researchers based on basic competencies and cognitive domains of students which were equipped with quartet card packaging, guidebooks, quartet cards, and cultural diversity character cards. The results of the expert validation assessment in the form of a questionnaire showed that the quartet card game media was in the very good category. The quartet card game media on cultural diversity was also tested on fourth grade elementary school students through a pre-test and post-test. The trial results showed an increase in pre-test and post-test results. In addition, the researcher conducted the Ngain from Ngain test from the pretest and posttest that had been done by the students, the average calculation results showed that the quartet card game media was in the effective category. With this in mind, it can be said that the development of a quartet card game media is feasible to use and can improve the learning outcomes of grade VI elementary school students
