Abstract

Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam adalah golongan yang paling rentan disusupi sikap intoleransi. Untuk mencegah hal itu nilai moderasi beragama perlu diinternalisasikan pada diri seorang guru. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui moderasi beragama guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) SMA Kota Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data kuesioner. Tiga aspek yang diteliti: moderasi beragama guru PAI terhadap mazhab Islam minoritas, moderasi beragama guru PAI terhadap agama lain dan moderasi beragama guru PAI terhadap negara dan pemerintahan. Populasi penelitian guru-guru PAI SMA di Kota Pekanbaru, sementara sampelnya 78 orang. Penelitian dilakukan bulan November 2022. Hasil penelitian sebagian besar responden cenderung moderat. Respon moderat dominan didapatkan pada moderasi beragama guru PAI terhadap negara dan pemerintahan, sedangkan respon intoleran dominan didapatkan dari moderasi beragama guru PAI terhadap mazhab Islam minoritas dan moderasi beragama guru PAI terhadap agama lain. Mereka memandang Muslim Sunni sebagai Islam yang benar, sementara muslim minoritas seperti Syiah dan Ahmadiyah sesat. Mereka juga memandang bahwa orang beragama Islam pasti beriman sedangkan selain Islam adalah kafir dan pasti masuk neraka, padahal surga dan neraka hak perogratif Allah. Mereka juga setuju Indonesia diterapkan hukum Islam sedangkan kredibillitas bukan standar utama dalam memilih pemimpin akan tetapi agama. Tampaknya responden belum memahami konsep moderasi beragama dari referensi yang kredibel. Islamic Religious Education teachers are the group most vulnerable to being infiltrated by intolerance. To prevent this, the value of religious moderation needs to be internalized in a teacher. In this regard, this study aims to determine the religious moderation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in Pekanbaru City High School. Quantitative descriptive research method, and questionnaire data collection techniques. Three aspects were studied: religious moderation of PAI teachers towards minority Islamic schools of thought, religious moderation of Islamic religious teachers towards other religions and religious moderation of Islamic religious teachers towards the state and government. The study population was high school PAI teachers in Pekanbaru City, while the sample was 78 people. The research was conducted in November 2022. The results of the research for the majority of respondents tended to be moderate. Dominant moderate responses were obtained from religious moderation of PAI teachers towards the state and government, while dominant intolerant responses were obtained from religious moderation of Islamic religious teachers towards minority Islamic schools and religious moderation of Islamic religious teachers towards other religions. They view Sunni Muslims as true Islam, while Muslim minorities such as Shia and Ahmadiyah are heretical. They also view that a Muslim person must have faith while non-Muslims are infidels and will definitely go to hell, even though heaven and hell are God's prerogative. They also agreed that Indonesia should apply Islamic law, while credibility is not the main standard in selecting leaders, but religion. It seems that respondents have not understood the concept of religious moderation from credible references.
