Abstract

ABSTRAK M. Yunasri Ridhoh (2023), Moderasi Berwarganegara Melalui Kelas Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan untuk Membentuk Karakter Cinta Damai dan Anti Kekerasan. Dibimbing oleh Prof. Dr. H. Idrus Affandi, S.H. Penelitian ini diawali oleh: 1) kegelisahan penulis melihat fenomena kekerasan, yang kerap terjadi di lingkungan Perguruan Tinggi; 2) dominannya diskursus, gerakan, kebijakan moderasi pada domain keagamaan, sementara problem fanatisme, ekstrimisme dan kekerasan, juga terjadi pada semua identitas; 3) belum optimalnya kelas PKn sebagai mata kuliah wajib kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengkaji relevansi dan urgensi moderasi berwarganegara melalui kelas PKn; 2) menganalisis implementasi moderasi berwarganegara dalam kelas PKn; dan 3) menganalisis implikasi moderasi berwarganegara dalam membentuk karakter cinta damai dan anti kekerasan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode deskriptif, lokasi penelitian adalah Universitas Negeri Makassar. Hasil penelitian mengarah pada: 1) Moderasi berwarganegara dengan kelas pendidikan kewarganegaraan memiliki relevansi, terutama pada dua bagian yakni materi dan tujuan; 2) Urgensi moderasi melalui kelas PKn terdapat pada (a) perlunya moderasi beragama diperluas menjadi moderasi berwarganegara, (b) fenomena kekerasan berbasis identitas di kalangan mahasiswa, (c) dinamika sosiokultural, dimana terdapat ancaman disintegrasi yang dihadapi bangsa Indonesia sebagai bangsa yang majemuk, (d) dinamika politik kenegaraan, pemerintah telah menjadikan moderasi sebagai salah satu prioritas dalam Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2020-2024; 3) Pada tahap realisasi moderasi dilaksanakan terutama melalui mata kuliah wajib kurikulum (MKWK) PKn secara terintegratif; 4) Implikasi dari moderasi melalui kelas PKn di UNM berdasarkan data yang diperoleh yaitu (a) komitmen kebangsaan 91,71%; (b) toleransi dan kerjasama 96,57%; (c) cinta damai dan anti kekerasan 95,58%. Dari data tersebut didapatkan data bahwa secara keseluruhan moderasi berwarganegara (mahasiswa) di UNM ialah 94,62%. This research was initiated by: 1) the writer's anxiety about the phenomenon of violence, which often occurs in higher education institutions; 2) the dominance of discourse, movement, moderation policies in the religious domain, while the problems of fanaticism, extremism and violence also occur in all identities; 3) the Civics class is not yet optimal as a compulsory curriculum subject. This study aims to: 1) examine the relevance and urgency of citizenship moderation through Civics classes; 2) analyzing the implementation of citizenship moderation in Civics classes; and 3) analyzing the implications of citizenship moderation in shaping the character of peace-loving and anti-violence. This research was carried out through a qualitative approach, with a descriptive method, the research location was Makassar State University. The results of the study point to: 1) Citizenship moderation with citizenship education classes has relevance, especially in two parts, namely material and objectives; 2) The urgency of moderation through Civics classes is found in (a) the need for religious moderation to be expanded into citizenship moderation, (b) the phenomenon of identity-based violence among students, (c) sociocultural dynamics, where there is a threat of disintegration faced by the Indonesian nation as a pluralistic nation, (d) the dynamics of state politics, the government has made moderation a priority in the 2020-2024 National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN); 3) At the stage of realization of moderation, it is carried out mainly through the Civics compulsory curriculum (MKWK) courses in an integrated manner; 4) The implications of moderation through Civics classes at UNM based on the data obtained are (a) 91.71% national commitment; (b) tolerance and cooperation 96.57%; (c) love peace and non-violence 95.58%. From these data it was found that overall the moderation of citizenship (students) at UNM was 94.62%. Keywords: Citizenship education, moderation citizen, peace-loving and non-violence character
