Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan pada saat ini dihadapkan pada tuntutan masyarakat untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang siap kerja dan mampu bersaing di era globalisasi. Pemberian kegiatan pengembangan minat siswa melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan kesiapan kerja siswa untuk memasuki dunia kerja maupun dunia usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa hubungan kesiapan kerja dengan percaya diri siswa berdasarkan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang dipilihnya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah korelasional dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Adapun partisipan pada penelitian ini, siswa SMK pada kelas XII, dengan jumlah 74 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertututp, yaitu angket kesiapan kerja dan angket percaya diri Analisis data menggunakan Rasch model melalui program Winstep. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh hubungan yang kuat antara kesiapan kerja siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler kecantikan, memasak dan komputer. Siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler kecantikan, memasak dan komputer telah memiliki kesiapan kerja yang tinggi. Hal ini dapat menjadi informasi bagi guru BK, untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilannya di ekstrakurikuler yang sesuai minat siswa tersebut. Kata kunci: Ekstrakurikuler, percaya diri, kesiapan kerja ABSTRACT Nowadays, the education faced on societal challenges to make graduate which can compete in globalization era. By developing students interest in extracurricular activity, it’ s expected to rise students work readiness and self-confidence to get a job or to be entrepreneur. This study is aimed to analysis correlation between students work readiness with self-confidence based on extracurricular. The method used correlational, with quantitative. The subjects were 74 students in XII grade. The instruments were used closed questioners: work readiness questioner and self-confidence questioner. Data analysed by using Rasch model with Winstep programme. Based on the results of study, there found strong correlation between students work readiness with self confidence in beauty class, cooking class and computer class. The students who followed beauty, cooking and computer extracurricular had high work readiness and high self-confidence. It could be information for BK teacher to help students to develop their skills based on their interest. Keywords: extracurricular, self-confidence, work readiness
