Abstract

Teacher’s Curriculum Value Orientations dan Implikasinya pada Pengembangan Kurikulum dan Pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani. Kesenjangan antara kurikulum sebagai ide dan dokumen dengan kurikulum sebagai proses merupakan salah satu masalah besar yang dihadapi dunia pendidikan khususnya Pendidikan Jasmani di Indonesia. Di beberapa negara maju permasalahan tersebut antara lain diatasi dengan cara mengembangkan model kurikulum dan pembelajaran berdasarkan nilai rujukan kurikulum guru atau Teacher’s Curriculum Value Orientations (TVO). Namun demikian, di Indonesia, penelitian mengenai TVO belum pernah ada yang melakukannya, di sisi lain konteks lingkungan sosial budaya dan fasilitas pembelajaran di Indonesia sangat berbeda dan sangat mungkin memberikan kontribusi yang berbeda pula. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengungkap TVO dikaitkan dengan latar belakang guru dan sekolah serta efektivitas pembelajaran yang diperoleh melalui observasi langsung dengan menggunakan student time analysis dan student behavior analysis terhadap 30 guru Pendidikan Jasmani dari 30 Sekolah Dasar di kota Bandung yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Datanya diolah dengan teknik korelasional, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 1) dominasi nilai rujukan guru berbanding terbalik dengan dominasi nilai rujukan sebagaimana tertera dalam dokumen dan ide kurikulum, 2) nilai rujukan guru (TVO) Pendidikan Jasmani memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap efektivitas proses belajar mengajar (PBM) Pendidikan Jasmani, 3) variabel latar belakang guru dan sekolah mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai rujukan guru (TVO) Pendidikan Jasmani namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap efektivitas PBM. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah 1) pengembangan kurikulum dan pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani harus selalu didasarkan pada nilai rujukan gurunya manakala ingin diraih hasil yang lebih baik, 2) pengembangan model kurikulum dan pembelajaran berbasis nilai rujukan guru perlu dilakukan secara utuh termasuk teaching skills gurunya, 3) para guru harus mengetahui nilai rujukannya sendiri sebelum melakukan pengembangan model kurikulum dan pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani. Abstract Teachers’ Curriculum Value Orientation and Its Implication to the Development of Curriculum and Teaching Models of Physical Education. The gap between curriculum as an idea & a document and as a process is one of big problems faced by education especially Physical Education in Indonesia. In some developed countries, the problem is encountered by developing curriculum and teaching models based on Teachers’ Curriculum Value Orientation (TVO). Nevertheless, there is no empirical evidence of TVO implication in developing curriculum and teaching models of Physical Education in Indonesia. Various social cultural contexts in Indonesia and different teaching facilities could give different contribution to the effectiveness of TVO on developing curriculum and teaching physical education models in Indonesia. The research was aimed to reveal the types and intensity of TVO related with the background of teachers and schools, and to see the effectiveness of Physical Education teaching measured by active learning time (ALT) and student’s movement engagement (SME). Correlation study was applied to 30 teachers of Physical Education from 30 Elementary Schools in Bandung. The result shows that 1) Domination of TVO was not in accordance with the one on the document and the idea of curriculum, 2) TVO of Physical Education gave a significant influence to the effectiveness of teaching learning process of Physical Education, 3) The background of teachers and schools influenced TVO of Physical Education significantly, but did not give the impact to the effectiveness of teaching learning process. The implications of the research are: 1) The development of curriculum and teaching models of Physical Education has to be based on the empirical data of teacher value rientation if the better result wants to be achieved. 2) The development of curriculum and teaching models based on TVO is crucial to be conducted completely including teaching skills of the teachers. 3) Teachers should identify their own value orientations before developing curriculum and teaching models of Physical Education.
