Abstract
ABSTRACT THE USE OF MOTION AND SONG METHODS TO DEVELOP EARLY CHILDREN'S RUDE MOTOR ABILITY AT TKIT IQRA KOTA SERANG BANTEN (Classroom Action Research on Group B Early Childhood at IQRA Kindergarten, Serang City, Banten) Aliyatul Ismiyah1 Yulianti Fitriani2 Esya Anesty Mashudi3 Teaching Study Of Early Childhood Education, Serang Campus, Indonesian University Of Education E-mail: aliyatulismiyah@student.upi.edu Abstract Gross motor skills are important skills to be developed at the PAUD level. TKIT IQRA Serang City, it appears that children's gross motor skills have not developed optimally. This is the background of the research by applying the method of motion and song. The focus of the research lies in the use of motion and song methods in learning. The aim is to develop the basic motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at TKIT IQRA Serang City, Banten (Group B). Qualitative approach with classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects were 13 children in group B. The data collection techniques used included observation and documentation studies. Data were analyzed using an interactive model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The research findings include (1) The use of motion and song methods is carried out in three stages, namely: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the completion stage. (2) The gross motor skills of group B children can be optimized through the use of motion and song methods. This can be seen from the average value of gross motor skills of children in group B which continues to develop in each cycle. In the first cycle, the percentage of gross motor skills achievement of group B children showed that 31% of children were included in the criteria for starting to develop (MB), 38% of children were included in the criteria for developing according to expectations (BSH), and 31% of children were included in the criteria for developing very well ( BSB). Then it increased in cycle II as many as 15% of children included in the criteria for Developing According to Expectations (BSH) and 85% of children included in the criteria for Very Good Development (BSB). Thus, the increase in the percentage value of gross motor skills in early childhood group B was successfully achieved according to the indicators of success that had been planned. The results of this study are recommended for schools, teachers and further researchers to be able to use motion and song methods as an alternative to developing children's gross motor skills, especially for children aged 5-6 years.
