Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu terdapat beberapa siswa yang tidak dan bahkan kehilangan karakter percaya dirinya karena faktor keluarga dan lingkungan sosialnya. Karakter percaya diri tidak akan terbentuk secara begitu saja, melainkan dengan adanya pembiasaan dan pembinaan secara rutin. Tanpa adanya karakter percaya diri yang tinggi akan menyebabkan tumbuh kembang anak tidak akan optimal. Peristiwa tersebut menjadi landasan peneliti untuk mengaplikasikan pendidikan karakter sedini mungkin khususnya di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembinaan karakter percaya diri dan implikasi pembinaan karakter percaya diri melalui program muhadarah yang telah diimplementasikan di SDIT Widya Cendekia. Oleh karena itu, peneliti diperlukan untuk mengetahui terlebih dahulu proses pelaksanaan program muhadarah serta karakter percaya diri dengan karakteristik tertentu yang terdapat pada kegiatan muhadarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, yang menjadi subjek dari penelitian ini adalah guru kelas, siswa kelas IV, V dan VI. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDIT Widya Cendekia Kota Serang. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan terhadap proses pelaksanaan program muhadarah menunjukan adanya pembinaan karakter percaya diri siswa dengan karakteristik tertentu. Bukti adanya implikasi dari program muhadarah terhadap karakter percaya diri siswa dapat dilihat dari banyaknya siswa yang menjawab tepat dengan persentase 83.75% dan 16, 25% siswa tidak menjawab dengan tepat. Hal tersebut menunjukan program muhadarah memiliki peran dalam pembinaan karakter percaya diri siswa. Oleh karena itu, program muhadarah dapat menjadi alternatif kegiatan yang dapat membina karakter percaya diri siswa. Confident character will not be formed casually, but by regular habituation and coaching. Without a high self-confidence character, it will cause children's growth and development will not be optimal. This event became the basis for researchers to apply character education as early as possible, especially in elementary schools. This study aims to determine the process of building confident character and the implications of confident character building through the muhadarah program that has been implemented at SD IT Widya Cendekia. Therefore, researchers are needed to know in advance the process of implementing the muhadarah program and the confident character with certain characteristics contained in muhadarah activities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, the subjects of this study are class teachers, students of grades IV, V and VI. This research was conducted at SD IT Widya Cendekia Serang City. Its data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the analysis that has been carried out on the process of implementing the muhadarah program, it shows that there is a development of students' confident character with certain characteristics. Evidence of the implications of the muhadarah program on students' confident character can be seen from the number of students who answered correctly with a percentage of 83.75% and 16.25% of students did not answer correctly. This shows that the muhadarah program has a role in fostering students' confident character. Therefore, the muhadarah program can be an alternative activity that can foster students' confident character. Keywords: Confident character, student, muhadarah
