Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan pelafalan bahasa Indonesia pemelajar BIPA asal Tiongkok. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh perbedaan fonetik bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Mandarin. Oleh karena itu, untuk meminimalisasi kesulitan pelafalan dibutuhkan bahan ajar BIPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesulitan dan penyebab kesulitan pelafalan pemelajar BIPA asal Tiongkok. Hasilnya dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan ajar keterampilan berbicara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis fonetik artikulatoris. Sumber data penelitian yaitu audio dari 27 responden BIPA di Guangxi University for Nationalities dan Jilin International Studies University. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak catat. Temuan penelitian sebanyak 357 data, yaitu 16 data vokal, 319 data konsonan, 12 data diftong, dan 10 data kluster. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu penambahan bunyi vokal [ə] → [e], pertukaran bunyi vokal [i] → [a], penghilangan bunyi vokal [i], perubahan bunyi vokal [ε] → [ə], penambahan bunyi konsonan [d], [k], [l], [n], pertukaran bunyi konsonan [h], [n], [k], [b], penghilangan bunyi konsonan [d], [g], [ŋ], [n], [h], [k], [p] [t], perubahan bunyi konsonan [b→p], [p→b], [d→t], [t→d], [g→k], [k→g], [h→x], [m→n], [ŋ→n], [r→l], penambahan bunyi diftong [ay], [oy], [aw], [ey], pertukaran bunyi diftong [oy], penambahan bunyi kluster [tr], penghilangan bunyi kluster [ks], dan perubahan bunyi kluster [pr], [tr], [kl]. Penyebab kesulitan yaitu pelafalan bunyi bahasa Indonesia pada posisi lidah tinggi dan responden membandingkan pelafalan bahasa Indonesia dengan bahasa Mandarin atau bahasa daerah (regiolek). Hasil kajian dimanfaatkan menjadi rancangan bahan ajar digital keterampilan berbicara yang berjudul “Hebat Bicara Bahasa Indonesia: Berbasis Budaya dan Wisata Indonesia”. Bahan ajar dibuat menggunakan FlipHTML5 dilengkapi audio dan video pelafalan yang dapat diakses secara digital. This is due to the phonetic differences between Indonesian and Mandarin. Therefore, to minimize pronunciation difficulties, BIPA teaching materials are needed. This research aims to study the pronunciation and causes of pronunciation difficulties of BIPA students from China. The results are used as teaching materials for speaking skills. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with articulatory phonetic analysis. The source of the research data is audio from 27 BIPA respondents at Guangxi University for Nationalities and Jilin International Studies University. Data collection uses note-taking techniques. The findings of the research were 357 data, namely 16 data of vowel, 319 data of consonant, 12 data of diphthong, and 10 data of cluster. The findings in this study, namely the addition of vowels [ə] → [e], exchange of vowels [i] → [a], omission of vowels [i], changes of vowels [ε] → [ə ], addition of consonants [d], [k], [l], [n], exchange of consonants [h], [n], [k], [b], omission of consonants [ d], [g], [ŋ], [n], [h], [k], [p] [t], consonant sound changes [b→p], [p→b], [d→ t], [t→d], [g→k], [k→g], [h→x], [m→n], [ŋ →n], [r→l], addition of diphthongs [ay], [oy], [aw], [ey], exchange of diphthongs [oy], addition of cluster sounds [tr], removal of cluster sounds [ks], and changes of cluster sounds [pr], [tr] , [kl]. The cause of the difficulty is the pronunciation of Indonesian sounds at a high tongue position and the respondents comparing the pronunciation of Indonesian with Mandarin or regional languages (regiolect). The results of the study were utilized as a design of digital teaching material for speaking skills entitled “Hebat Bicara Bahasa Indonesia: Berbasis Budaya dan Wisata Indonesia”. Teaching materials are made using Flip HTML 5 equipped with pronunciation audio and videos that can be accessed digitally.
