Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep serta keaktifan siswa pada pembelajaran matematika di SDN STR. Pemahaman konsep merupakan salah satu tujuan utama dari pembelajaran matematika. Untuk itu penulis harus merencanakan pembelajaran yang dapat mengaktifkan dan menyesuaikan dengan gaya belajar siswa, salah satunya dengan menerapkan pendekatan SAVI melalui Model Accelerated Learning. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran serta peningkatan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas 6 selama pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Pendekatan SAVI melalui Model Accelerated Learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas oleh model Kemmis & Taggart sebanyak 2 siklus yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Adapun partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 6F di SDN STR yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa pada tahap pra-siklus sebesar 75,2 dengan ketuntasan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam belajar sebesar 43,5%. Kemudian pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan pada rata-rata nilai siswa menjadi 82,5 dengan ketuntasan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam belajar sebesar 63,6%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan lagi pada rata-rata nilai siswa sebesar 84,3 dengan ketuntasan pemahaman konsep siswa dalam belajar menjadi 82,6%. Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pendekatan SAVI melalui Model Accelerated Learning ini terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung bilangan bulat siswa kelas 6 Sekolah Dasar. This research is motivated by the low understanding of concepts and student activity in learning mathematics at SDN STR. Understanding the concept is one of the main goals of learning mathematics. For this reason, the author must plan learning that can activate and adapt to student learning styles, one of which is by applying the SAVI approach through the Accelerated Learning Model. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation of learning as well as increasing understanding of the concept of integer arithmetic operations in grade 6 students during learning by applying the SAVI Approach through the Accelerated Learning Model. This research was carried out using Classroom Action Research by the Kemmis & Taggart model as many as 2 cycles which included planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The participants in this study were students of class 6F at SDN STR, totaling 23 students. Data collection techniques used include observation, tests, and documentation. The data obtained in this study were then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the average score of students at the pre-cycle stage was 75.2 with a complete understanding of students' concepts in learning of 43.5%. Then in the first cycle there was an increase in the average value of students to 82.5 with complete understanding of students' concepts in learning by 63.6%. Furthermore, in the second cycle there was an increase again in the average score of 84.3 students with complete understanding of students' concepts in learning to be 82.6%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the SAVI Approach through the Accelerated Learning Model has proven to be effective in increasing the understanding of the concept of integer arithmetic operations for 6th grade elementary school students.
