Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat kecerdasan naturalis anak di RA Syekh Manshur dalam aspek fenomena alam. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal dan wawancara guru bahwa anak-anak belum sepenuhnya dapat menjaga kebersihan diri maupun lingkungan sekitar terdekatnya seperti membiarkan begitu saja sampah bekas makanannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan terkait kecerdasan naturalis anak melalui penerapan konsep zero waste. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis & Mc Taggart. Dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan dua tindakan dalam setiap siklusnya melalui empat tahapan : perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah daftar ceklis anak, daftar ceklis aktivitas guru, pedoman wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam setiap siklusnya terhadap kecerdasan naturalis anak melalui penerapan konsep zero waste. Pada siklus terakhir peningkatan yang diperoleh yaitu 80% anak berada dalam kategori berkembang sesuai harapan (BSH). Perubahan nyata terjadi pada sikap anak yang sudah sepenuhnya memiliki kepekaan terhadap lingkungan serta bijak dan bertanggung jawab terhadap sampah dan kebersihan lingkungan sekitarnya. This research is motivated by the low level of naturalist intelligence of children at RA Syekh Manshur, namely in the aspect of natural phenomena. Based on the results of initial observations and interviews with teachers, it is known that children are not fully able to maintain personal hygiene and their immediate surroundings, such as just letting their used food waste go. This study aims to overcome problems related to children's naturalist intelligence through the application of the zero waste. The method used in this research is the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model. This research was conducted in three cycles with two actions in each cycle with four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research instrumen used was a child's naturalist intelligence checklist, teacher activity checklist, interview guide, and evaluation sheets in the form of field notes. The results of the research that has been done show that there is a significant increase in each cycle of children's naturalist intelligence through the application of the zero waste concept. In the last cycle the increase was obtained, namely 80% of children were in the category of developing as expected (BSH). This increase is evidenced by the visible change in the attitude of children who are fully sensitive to the environment and wise and responsible for waste and cleanliness of the surrounding environment.
