Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kesalahan dan faktor penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal dimensi tiga berdasarkan Teori Nolting ditinjau dari self-efficacy. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada salah satu SMAN di Bandung, Jawa Barat dengan menggunakan 65 orang siswa kelas XII IPA sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal dimensi tiga dan instrumen non tes berupa angket self-efficacy dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa self-efficacy siswa berada pada kategori sedang. Jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dengan self-efficacy tinggi yaitu kesalahan dengan tipe careless errors dan test-taking errors. Sedangkan, siswa dengan self-efficacy sedang melakukan kesalahan dengan tipe careless errors, concept errors dan test-taking errors. Kemudian siswa dengan self-efficacy rendah melakukan kesalahan dengan tipe careless errors, concept errors, application errors dan test-taking errors. Faktor penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan yaitu berupa kecerobohan, kemampuan kognitif, kemampuan pandang ruang, pengamalan belajar dan tidak tenang saat tes. Solusi secara teoritis untuk meminimalisir kesalahan siswa adalah memperhatikan kebiasaan penulisan siswa, memastikan materi prasyarat telah dikuasai siswa, penyajian materi dari yang paling dasar dan menggunakan media pembelajaran baik secara virtual maupun nyata. Kata Kunci: Dimensi Tiga, Kesalahan Siswa, Self-efficacy, Teori Nolting This study aims to describe the forms of errors and factors that cause students' errors in solving three-dimensional questions based on the Nolting Theory in terms of self-efficacy. This research is qualitative research with a case study design. This research was conducted at a high school in Bandung, West Java, using 65 students of class XII IPA as research subjects. Data collection techniques in this study used test instruments in the form of three-dimensional questions and non-test instruments in the form of self-efficacy questionnaires and interviews. Based on the study's results, it was found that students' self-efficacy was in the medium category. Types of errors made by students with high self-efficacy are careless errors and test-taking errors.Meanwhile, students with self-efficacy are making mistakes with careless errors, concept errors and test-taking errors. Then students with low self-efficacy make mistakes with careless errors, concept errors, application errors and test-taking errors. Factors that cause students to make mistakes are carelessness, cognitive ability, spatial perspective, learning practice, and not being calm during tests. Theoretical solutions to minimize student errors are to pay attention to students' writing habits, ensure that students have mastered the prerequisite material, present material from the most basic and use learning media both virtual and real.
