Abstract

Instrumen Tes Two Tier Multiple Choice merupakan tes objektif yang terdiri atas dua tingkat, tingkat pertama berupa soal utama dan tingkat kedua merupakan alasan pemilihan jawaban. Tes Two Tier Multiple Choice masih jarang diterapkan di Indonesia, khususnya dalam dunia pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas instrumen tes Two Tier Multiple Choice melalui Uji Validitas Logis maupun Empiris, Uji Reliabilitas, Uji Tingkat Kesukaran dan Uji Daya Pembeda. Alasan diadakannya penelitian ini karena fakta di lapangan menunjukkan soal geografi di sekolah tidak jelas orientasinya, tidak ada uji kualitas soal, dan bentuk soal dari tahun ke tahun tidak mengalami perkembangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI di SMA PGRI 1 Bandung yang telah mempelajari Mata Pelajaran Geografi. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan secara simple random sampling. Jumlah sampel ditentukan dengan tabel Isaac dan Michael dengan tingkat kesalahan sebesar 5%. Jumlah sampel yang diambil sejumlah 116 orang peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan soal buatan guru tidak ideal, tidak memenuhi syarat, kaidah dan prosedur yang semestinya. Kualitas instrumen tes Two Tier Multiple Choice dari semua uji coba yang dilakukan, Uji Validitas dan Uji Reliabilitas memperoleh hasil tinggi. Sedangkan uji tingkat kesukaran dan uji daya pembeda memperoleh hasil belum maksimal. Tanggapan guru geografi mengenai tes Two Tier Multiple Choice mengatakan bahwa tes ini cocok diterapkan pada jenjang SMA, SMK dan sederajat karena menuntut peserta didik untuk berfikir tingkat tinggi dalam bentuk pilihan ganda. The Two Tier Multiple Choice Test instrument is an objective test consisting of two levels, the first level is the main question and the second level is the reason for choosing the answer. The Two Tier Multiple Choice test is still rarely applied in Indonesia, especially in the world of education. This study aims to determine the quality oftest instruments two tier multiple choice through logical and empirical validity tests, reliability tests, difficulty level tests and distinguishing tests. The reason for this research was because the facts in the field showed that the geography in the school was not clearly oriented, there was no test of the quality of the questions, and the form of the problems from year to year had not developed. The method used is descriptive method. The population in this study were all class XI students at SMA PGRI 1 Bandung who had studied Geography Subjects. Sample selection is done by simple random sampling. The number of samples is determined by the tables of Isaac and Michael with an error rate of 5%. The number of samples taken is 116 students. The results of the study show that teacher made questions are not ideal, do not meet the requirements, rules and proper procedures. The quality of the two tier multiple choice instrument from all the trials carried out, the validity and reliability tests obtained high results. While the difficulty level test and discriminatory power test obtained results that were not maximal. The geography teacher’s response to the two tier multiple choice test said that this tests was appropriate to be applied at the SMA, SMK and equivalent levels, because it required students to think at a high level in the form of multiple choice.
