Abstract

Kota Tasikmalaya sudah sejak lama bergantung pada sektor industri kreatif dimana masing – masing kecamatannya menjadi sebuah sentra industri kreatif, seperti di Kecamatan Tamansari yang sudah lama dikenal sebagai sentra industri kreatif kelom geulis. Namun serbuan sandal dan sepatu impor dengan harga murah yang masuk pasar dan toko lokal membuat kelom geulis tergerus dan semakin terpinggirkan. Bahkan sejumlah galeri pelaku usaha kelom telah tutup atau beralih menjajakan produk lain lantaran sepinya pembeli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberadaan industri kreatif kelom geulis, bagaimana upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produksi dan mengembangkan pemasaran serta hubungan eksistensi dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi pelaku usaha. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan analisis presentase dan analisis korelasi. Variabel penelitian meliputi keberadaan industri kreatif kelom geulis dan kondisi sosial ekonomi pemilik industri, upaya meningkatkan hasil produksi dan mengembangkan pemasaran, serta hubungan eksistensi industri kreatif kelom geulis dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi pemilik usaha. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, eksistensi industri kreatif kelom geulis memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi pemilik industrinya. Dengan masih adanya pelaku usaha industri kreatif kelom geulis berarti industri kreatif kelom geulis masih tetap eksis hingga kini walau memang tidak seperti dahulu. Dukungan dari masyarakat dan pemerintah setempat sangat diperlukan agar industri kreatif kelom geulis di Kecamatan Tamansari Kota Tasikmalaya bisa tetap eksis dan lestari. Tasikmalaya City has long been dependent on the creative industry sector where each sub-district has become a creative industry center, such as in Tamansari District which has long been known as the kelom geulis creative industry center. However, the rush of imported sandals and shoes at low prices that entered local markets and shops made the kelom geulis erode and increasingly marginalized. Even a number of galleries of business actors have closed or have switched to selling other products due to the lack of buyers. This study aims to analyze the existence of the kelom geulis creative industry, how efforts are being made to increase production and develop marketing as well as the existence relationship with the socio-economic conditions of business actors. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a quantitative approach using percentage analysis and correlation analysis. The research variables include the existence of the kelom geulis creative industry and the socio-economic conditions of the industry owners, efforts to increase production yields and develop marketing, as well as the relationship between the existence of the kelom geulis creative industries and the socio-economic conditions of business owners. Based on the results of the study, the existence of the kelom geulis creative industry has a strong relationship with the socio-economic conditions of the industry owners. With the existence of kelom geulis creative industry business doers, it means that the kelom geulis creative industry still exists today, even though it is not like it used to be. Support from the community and local government is needed so that the creative industry of kelom geulis in Tamansari District, Tasikmalaya City can continue to exist and be sustainable.
