Abstract

Pengembangan E-book Cerita Bilingual Ilustratif untuk Menstimulus Kemampuan Literasi Bahasa Inggris Siswa SD Kelas 4 Manjilati Nurhazah manjilati@upi.edu ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book cerita bilingual ilustratif untuk menstimulus kemampuan literasi bahasa Inggris siswa SD kelas 4. Pengembangan media ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan yang itemukan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di salah satu SD, diantaranya adalah kurang optimalnya pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah tersebut dan kurangnya media yang dapat menjadi sumber belajar bahasa Inggris siswa. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan prosedur pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Depelovement, Implementation, Evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Pengembangan e-book dilakukan dengan mengacu pada kompetensi dasar dan indikator ketercapaian. Sehingga produk relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa usia sekolah dasar. Pengembangan media dilakukan menggunakan apliksai Canva dengan memasukan elemen-elemen ilustrasi. E-book cerita dibuat bilingual menggunakan bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif, analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, dan analisis tes. Produk divalidasi oleh 3 validator, yaitu ahli materi, ahli media, dan guru SD. Hasil presentase skor validasi dari ketiga validator berada pada kategori sangat valid. Adapun uji coba dilakukan pada siswa kelas 4 SD berjumlah 25 siswa. Uji coba dilakukan sesuai tahapan eksperimen one-group pretest- posttest. Hasil nilai pretest dan posttest menunjukan adanya pengaruh hasil pembelajaran menggunakan e-book cerita bilingual ilustratif pada hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: E-book, Cerita Bilingual, Media Pembelajaran Development of an Illustrative Bilingual Story E-book to Stimulate English Literacy Skills for 4th Grade Elementary School Students Manjilati Nurhazah manjilati@upi.edu ABSTRACT This study aimed to develop an illustrative bilingual story e-book to stimulate the English literacy skills of 4th grade elementary school students. The development of this media was motivated by several problems found in the implementation of English learning in an elementary school, including the lack of optimal implementation of English learning in that school and the lack of media that can be a resource of learning English for students. Development was carried out with the ADDIE development procedure (Analysis, Design, Depelovement, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observations, documentation studies, questionnaires, and tests. The development of e-book was carried out by referring to basic competencies and achievement indicators. So that product is relevant to the needs of students of primary school age. Media development was carried out using the Canva application by including illustrative elements. Story e-book was made bilingual using English and Indonesian. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative descriptive analysis, quantitative descriptive analysis, and test analysis. The product was validated by 3 validators, namely material experts, media experts, and elementary school teachers. The results of the percentage of validation scores from the three validators were in the very valid category. The experiment was carried out on 25 students in 4th grade of elementary school. The experiment was carried out according to the stages of the one-group pretest- posttest experiment. The results of the pretest and posttest showed the influence of learning outcomes using illustrative bilingual story e-book. So that e-book can be said to be able to stimulate students' English literacy skills. Key words: E-book, Bilingual Story, Learning Media
