Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini yaitu minat belajar siswa yang rendah dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, peningkatan, serta kendala dalam penggunaan video motivasi untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dari model Kemmis dan Taggart dengan penggunaan video motivasi sebagai sebuah media pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X MIPA 5 SMAN 1 Majalengka berjumlah 36 siswa terdiri dari 14 laki-laki dan 22 perempuan. Perencanaan penelitian di antaranya dengan menyusun RPP dan membuat instrumen penelitian sesuai kebutuhan peneliti. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini selama tiga siklus dan diperoleh hasil peningkatan minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn dari siklus satu sampai dengan siklus tiga. Hasil penelitian menunjukan minat belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan di setiap siklus. Peningkatan tersebut ditandai dengan banyaknya siswa perhatian terhadap pembelajaran PPKn, merasa senang saat belajar PPKn, dan aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran PPKn. Kendala dalam penelitian ini di antaranya yaitu peneliti yang kurang tegas menghadapi siswa kelas X MIPA 5, sarana pembelajaran seperti speaker yang tidak tersedia di setiap kelas, serta kurangnya penguasaan guru dalam mengatur waktu. This research is motivated by the low interest of students in learning Civics Education. The purpose of this study was to describe the planning, implementation, improvement, and constraints in the use of motivational videos to increase students' interest in learning. This research uses Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and Taggart models by using motivational videos as a learning medium. The subjects of this study were students of class X Natural Science 5 Senior High School 1 Majalengka with a total of 36 students consisting of 14 boys and 22 girls. This research planning includes preparing lesson plans and making research instruments according to the needs of researchers. This research was carried out for three cycles and obtained the results of increasing student interest in learning Civics from cycle one to cycle three. Student interest in learning in the first cycle got a score of 35, in the second cycle it got a score of 44, and in the third cycle it got a score of 72. One of these increases was marked by the number of students who paid attention to Civics learning, felt happy while learning Civics, and were active in participating in Civics Education activities. The constraints from this study were the researchers who are not firm enough in dealing with students of class X Natural Science 5, learning facilities such as speakers that are not available in every class, and the lack of teacher mastery in managing time.
