Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh belum maksimalnya hasil pengembangan gagasan dari peserta didik sehingga peserta didik kesulitan memberikan argumennya terhadap permasalahan di sekolah melalui teks. Hal ini dikarenakan peserta didik belum mengenal struktur dan jenis-jenis teks serta kurangnya penguasaan terhadap masalah yang akan dituangkan ke dalam tulisan. Berlandas tumpu pada permasalahan tersebut peneliti menawarkan strategi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode brainstorming. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis teks eksposisi tema lingkungan sekolah berbasis brainstorming milik peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat analisis deskriptif. Untuk mengumpulkan data peneliti menggunakan lembar penugasan menulis teks eksposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar khususnya SDN 1 Sukamaju memiliki potensi untuk membuat karangan teks eksposisi hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil analisis teks eksposisi peserta didik sudah menunjukan kesesuaian dengan struktur teks, isi sesuai dengan tema yang ditentukan dan kaidah kebahasaan teks eksposisi. The background of this research is that the results of the development of ideas from students have not been maximized so that students have difficulty giving their arguments against problems at school through text. This is because students are not familiar with the structure and types of texts and lack of mastery of the problems that will be poured into writing. Based on this problem, the researcher offers a learning strategy using the brainstorming method. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the analysis of the brainstorming-based exposition text of the school environment theme belonging to the fourth grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative approach that is descriptive analysis. To collect data, the researcher used an assignment sheet to write an exposition text. The results showed that fourth grade elementary school students, especially SDN 1 Sukamaju, had the potential to write exposition texts.
