Abstract

PROFIL COPING STRESS : Studi Deskriptif terhadap Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena yang terjadi di sekolah. Terdapat lebih dari 50 persen siswa mengalami stress baik itu berkaitan dengan akademik maupun non akademik, misalnya tidak bisa menyesuaikan diri, tidak bisa membagi waktu. Terlebih dalam situasi pandemi saat ini makin banyak siswa yang merasa stress ketika menyesuaikan diri dari pembelajaran daring ke luring. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran empiris kecenderungan kemampuan umum coping stress siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya tahun ajaran 2021/2022 berdasarkan aspek problem focused coping dan emotion focused coping. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah coping stress siswa kelas XI SMA negeri 1 Tasikmalaya tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecenderungan umum coping stress siswa berada pada kategori Kuat untuk aspek problem focused coping dan kategori Lemah pada aspek emotion focused coping. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi layanan bimbingan konseling untuk membantu siswa menyelesaikan tugas perkembangan juga untuk membantu siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalahnya atau menghadapi stress. COPING STRESS PROFILE (Descriptive Study of Class XI Students of SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Academic Year 2021/2022) This research is motivated by phenomena that occur in schools. There are more than 50 percent of students experiencing stress, both academic and non-academic, for example unable to adjust, unable to manage time. Especially in the current pandemic situation, more and more students feel stressed when adjusting from online to offline learning. The purpose of this study was to obtain an empirical description of the general ability of students to cope with stress in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya in the academic year 2021/2022 based on aspects of problem focused coping and emotion focused coping. The study used a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population of this research is the coping stress of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya in the academic year 2021/2022. The results showed that the general tendency of students' coping stress was in the Strong category for the problem focused coping aspect and the Weak category on the emotion focused coping aspect. Based on the results of the research, it is hoped that it can become the basis for counseling guidance services to help students complete developmental tasks as well as to assist students in solving problems or dealing with stress.
