Abstract

----- The development of technology makes learning media developed to be more sophisticated. This is a demand for teachers to be able to master and utilize ICT well, especially in the learning process. However, there are several problems found in schools, one of which is the lack of variety of learning media used in the learning process so that it makes students feel bored and learning feels less fun, especially in social studies learning. To overcome these problems, researchers seek to be able to assist teachers in utilizing and using digital learning media, namely by developing animated video learning media. Animated video media is an audio-visual media by combining animated images that can move followed by audio according to the animated character (Rahmayanti, 2018). From the previous problems, the researchers aimed to: (1) develop animated video learning media on the topic of 4th grade economic activity, (2) verify the feasibility of animated video learning media in elementary school on the 4th grade economic activity topic; (3) describe the response of teachers and students to animated video learning media in elementary schools on the topic of 4th grade economic activities. This research on the development of the animated video media that was developed using the ADDIE model includes the stages of analyze (analysis), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation) and evaluation (evaluation). The results of the development of animated video learning media developed in the form of a percentage of the assessment questionnaire obtained from expert validators, namely material content expert validators and media expert validators. The acquisition of material content expert validators reached 86.11% and the acquisition of media expert validators reached 91.25%. The results of the validator's assessment indicate that the animated video media developed is feasible to be tested for users. This animated video media that has been developed was tested on users and received a good response from several teachers and students. The teacher's response reached 98.52% and the student's response reached 86.47%. When viewed from the recapitulation of the results of the expert validator's assessment and user responses, it shows that the animated video media that has been developed is feasible to be used in learning activities on the topic of economic activities for grade 4 Elementary School.
